What most people probably do not understand is that the GOP is not a part of the US government but a private organization. They can essentially do whatever they want and the only thing that can be done about it is leaving the party/voting independent or libertarian. It is democracy, no one is making anyone support the GOP.
>>
>>70620985
Basically this. GOP could enact a rule that they'll choose their candidate in a Yugioh tournament and no one can say anything about that.
>>

Going full cuckservative and refusing to even listen to people who have supported you for years is a good way to fracture that private organization. I think we're witnessing a splintering of the GOP, thank God.
>>

>I think we're witnessing a splintering of the GOP, thank God
Good.
>>
>>70621521
There is a market for a third party out there, especially if conservative and if they can set up rules which ensure fairness in voting across all the states.
>>
>>70618602
So here is what we are going to do about it:

There is a list of these delegates somewhere. If we found out how they "voted" and that those who "voted" differently were denied, then there must be a list of how everyone voted, with names.

Lets compile a list of who these folks are so we don't rely on the single point of failure of Roger Stone.

Not a moment too soon. GOP is way overdue for a collapse but I doubt it'd splinter too hard. They will likely stick with these shenanigans only because having two conservative parties gives democrats the election.
>>
>>70622860
I don't care. I'll just vote straight D out of spite.
>>
>>70621521
The way I figure it there's 2 ways to go if the GOP suicides by blocking Trump.
1. If Trump goes independent people vote Trump
2. If he drops out completely vote for the Libertarian candidate and crash the GOP with no survivors.
>>
>>70622860
So they should line up with Trump. That's the only way to avoid a Hillary presidency.
>>
Essentialy, the Colorado GOP simply didn't hold a straw poll, meaning delegates can vote for whoever they want, and they all want to support Cruz.
>>
>>70623233
I feel like they want to bring the party a little closer to the center. Being permanent contrarians isn't going to sit with the swing voters well permanently.

They lost on the government shutdown and they will lose on the Scalia replacement battle.

Also Trump is unpredictable and answers to no one. No wonder they don't want to give him the position because no one knows what he'll do.
>>
>>70623233
They don't care. They've already said they'd rather have Hillary than Trump.

>>70623341
Not just that. They replaced the existing delegates with stooges to boot.
>>
>>70618943
He had delegates, they are removing his delegates from the process you dumbfuck. Keep up with the current story.
>>
>>70620897
The Republican and Democratic parties don't care if everyone knows they rig elections anymore.
>>
>>70621638
Would the big financial backers of the GOP and Democrats allow a 3rd Party?

>>
>>70623355
All of the reasoning doesn't matter. It only comes down to numbers. If the Republicans don't nominate Trump, they won't have the votes to beat Hillary.

So if party unity is important. They have to line up with Trump. If they line up against him, it will be Hillary.
>>
>>70621521
Damnit man. I can't stop watching.

>>
>>70618943
We knew it was going to be a direct delegate selection for months now, that part's true.

The new development is that the Colorado State GOP is LITERALLY disqualifying, removing, and replacing Trump delegates.

Trump had delegates in Colorado. Now he has none and Cruz has been awarded all of them by the party establishment despite no vote ever being cast by the public.
>>
>grandpa hasn't been this pissed off in years

>calmly and quietly spends 2 minutes explaining his anger
Heh.
>>
>>70623044
Problem is I'm not sure Trump CAN go Independent at this point.

He'd need to organize a MASSIVE signatory campaign in all 50 states in order to run Independent... and many of the states have deadlines as early as May and June. If you don't get the signatures by that date... that's it, you're not even going to show up as an option on the ballot in that state.

If Trump is going to bail and go Independent, he needs to announce it NOW... like TODAY.

Texas is the first deadline, he'd need about 80,000 votes in the next three weeks to make the May, 9 deadline to be on their ballot.

That's how the world works. It's a shit game. Trump ought to know that. He should have had his boys on the ground in CO making sure shit stayed kosher and raising holy hell if it didn't. But he got blindsided. Is that what we want in a president? Trump needs to up his game. Start paying out some of those billions to put people on the ground where they nee to be. If he can't keep from getting fucked by the American political system, how is he going to keep from getting fucked by other nations? Is he just going to cry about how unfair it is when we get fucked over by other countries?
>>
>>70626730
Kicking delegates out a convention because they're not voting for you who want them to vote for is borderline election fraud.

They pulled the same shit with the Ron Paul delegates in 2012, literally just up and booted out hundreds of selected and elected delegates from the convention.

"That's how the game is played" isn't a good enough excuse. It's not how the system should work and it's the exact kind of sneaky, shiftless, corrupt horseshit Trump's been railing against for months now.
>>
>>70626993
Trump knew the CO situation was oddball. That should have been a clue that he needed to be on it. He's supposed to be the idea man. He should have foreseen irregularities and had a plan to deal with it. There's never an excuse for being unprepared and blindsided. It's lack of preparation, lack of foresight, lack of thinking.
>>
>Was losing the nomination part of your plan?
>Of course
>What is next for your master plan?
>Crush this party, with no survivor

Seriously, if they think they can pull this kind of shit off without any blowback in one form or the other, they must be dreaming.
The fact Hillary is starting to steal some Trump's talking points just shown the Democrat can play the nationalist game too. And if there is no real alternative to this "Democrat nationalism" from the GOP in the future, people will vote for those is willing to give talking point even if they are not going to enable of the policy.
On another hand, look at the state. If someone with some real money, turn some state to vote for a nationalist candidate even one the third party ballot is highly possible.
>>
>>70626257
Yes, like a reasonable adult.
>>
>>70624018
But thats the thing. The Republican establishment DOESNT want Trump because he answers to no one which threatens their power, so they'll vote Hillary just so they can keep their cushy positions.

As long as they gain something when Hillary is nominated they dont care.

>>

Again, he had his people there, but as you can see from the latest news and this guy's testimony, the Colorado GOP nullified their vote.

They even celebrated it with that tweet they claimed was "posted by a hacker". Trump is conceding the loss to showcase how fucked up this bullshit is. And good for him, as he really doesn't need Colorado to clinch 1237. Also it makes Cruz look like a moron for celebrating a "voterless victory".

Colorado chose to do the primary this way before the election even started. Also this isn't a government election, this is a political party and they do whatever they want to. They're not beholden to the public. You don't have a right to elect party leaders.
>>
>>70633557
Literally doing a table-flip on the primaries.

>>70633900
It's not that they want Hillary to win, it's that they'd rather have Hillary win than lose control of the party if Trump or Cruz (they hate both) wins the primary. Because the primary election is also about who controls the party for the next four years. And they'd rather go for the sure thing (lose with an establishment candidate) than risk asking the candidate to cooperate with the establishment about party leadership.

Hillary, every democrat, and the Republican establishment are all owned by essentially the same group of people.
The donor party, made up by wealthy unions, corporations, and individuals, run the country and own all the horses in the race.
There might be competition between members of the donor party, however they all support certain policies. They like illegal immigration because it keeps wages down. That's why they hate Trump and use the media that they also control to demonize him.
