Hi /pol/
Howmany profits did you make last month with stock trading? or are you still spending your hard earned money on stupid anime magazines?
>>
>>70614404
I keep all my money on a shoes box under my bed.
Stock trading is for the jews.
>>
>>70614404
How did you start trading stocks? Where did you learn the tricks of the trade? How long did it take to make some profits, and how much did you lose at first?

I'm interested in trading stock myself, but do not know where to start

back in 2015, it's not hard to stock trade, everybody could do it. my first profit was in some semiconducter company. i didn't lose anything. stock trading isn't gambling

So where did you start? Do you have suggestions on books or websites?

>>70614404
So how do you do it and where do you start? What are some of the best sources to learn about this sort of thing and how to make the most of it? How much can you reasonably expect to make?

I would suggest investing in good companies. you could adapt the strategy of this goyim.

warren buffet's strategy is : invest when everybody sells, if your stock drops, don't be a goyim and sell it, but keep it and buy more of it. sell it then over a long period like 5-10 years. you will always get profit
>>
>>70615029
So what do you consider good companies? Companies with a reputation such as Heineken or AH, or smaller innovative companies like oculus?

Invest what you are prepared to lose. The more money you want to make the more money you need to put forward. Stay the fuck away from binary options, they are fixed to an artificial market. What do you want to invest in? I trade the EUR/USD futures and corn futures. Dependent on what you want to trade this will mean a particular way of learning. If you want the basics on currency trading, babypips has a good educational section to the basics of technical and fundamental investing.

I'm a futures trader and I do this shit daily. People think there is some golden way to investing but there isn't, it down to the individual, everyone has their own style of trading. Buy or sell at a price that is as close to you being wrong on the trade/investment. You minimise your losses this way and maximise your winners.

[email protected] if you have any questions.
>>
>>70615334
very few people beat the market consistently. The market says you'll return around 10% annually if you invest in an index fund
>>
>>70616959
Stop looking at percentages. Invest as you do and then at the end of a quarter compare percents or you become too focused on a certain percent. You can have 10 bad investments at a -1% or whatever, and then 1 that makes 30%, all in all your average percentage is screwed as it doesn't account for your hit rate.
>>
>>70614810
For the small investor, stock trading is just an investing with a better profit than storing the money in the bank. There is a small risk but the profit is also not high (can vary from branches and companies ofc.)

If you want something with more profit, look into Forex or CFD / ETF

what 3D printing company has a good outlook?
>>
>>70617268
Fair point, let's say you put $1000 into a trading account. You risk perhaps 1-2% of your capital per trade, but you're looking to get at least 1:1 from that trade if not more. So if you risk $40 and make $60, you have now grown your capital by 6%. This all seems minimal but keep doing this over a few months/years and you will have a new job that pays for your lifestyle. It basically comes down to how much money can you burn through before you sort of get it. Let's look at the Euro today, its been kinda shit. If I bought 1 lot (this is a size of the contract) at 1.14000 and took profit at 1.140100, my profit would be $125. If I bought 10 lots (exact same price targets) my profit would be $1250 (excluding commission). So in short, the amount you can make is actually only limited to the size of your pockets to begin with, how cautious you are with risk, as both of those trades could have gone the other way and then you'd be at a loss of those amounts. Emotions play just a big of a part as your capital you start out with. My best day so far has been around $1600, and worst ($500). There is a guy who sits next to me who can easily make $5000 on average a day, due to having more size and the ability to risk more.

>>
Ive made maybe 4-5000 SEK the previous two months
>>
I do minimum investments of £1k, trading fees are a fixed price so the more you invest the lower your costs are as a percentage and the stock doesn't need to increase as much to make profit.

I keep about 80% in safe FTSE 100 and 250 stocks, pharma, defence, banks, insurance, aerospace, infrastructure, energy. I invest the other 20% in mining stocks. These are more volatile so as long as you keep buying and selling at the right points you're making money. I'm good at buying low but bad at selling high, I normally sell too early. I still make profit, but could make more but I feel its better to be safe.

For stock trading time doesn't matter. Use money which you don't need. Stock trading requires patience because there could be a period of time where your stocks are not doing well.

Inform yourself about companies. Think what technologies will be used, etc. There are sometimes up to 30% profit for AMD (CPU manufacteur). Self driving vehicles or 3d printing as the other Anon said are also good idea. I would never invest in banks and oil industry at the moment.

Well, my choice in Alibaba was based on the fact that they're the biggest ecommerce site in China, and that market is expected to grow by a huge percent by 2020 (I forget the exact amount, but I'm sure you can the statistics for this somewhere). China has huge potential and I feel confident in the long term for this stock.

As for 3D Systems, it's also a long-term investment. We're moving into a post-scarcity world, and 3D printers will play a huge part in that transition.

its not about his stock. its about the idea in general. it simpely works. you should buy for example Boskalis when there was bad news, following panic on AEX. the stock dropped to 30. but the next day it went 4%. this is how you get quick money. look at the numbers and buy what others are quickly selling.
>>
>>70619054
>those indicators
lol wtf are you even doing. Just leave BBs, they are the only ones worth something. Observe them long enough, see how price behaves around them. Try applying more than one set of bands with different parameters. Watch the higher TFs to get a bias, that is where the trend is going.
Keep an eye out for 20 days max/min, these are the levels that most likely will act as support/resistance. Same with 100EMA and 200SMA, they are used as dynamic levels.

Tick volume is useless, so throw it away as well. Don't trade anything below H4.
As per your question, i have no idea but i have been short CHFJPY for a while. And i trade soybeans, oil and metals. Stocks are a scamfest and they tend to open with ugly gaps that could easily wipe out your leveraged positions. And i can't be bothered with trading them with options

The only thing I care about is this. Is stock trading user friendly? Is it like a video game where I simply click a few things and bleep bloop it's done like a minigame in GTA 5?

Anon, that really depends, it's still taking risks of losing a lot of money, stocks can go down, depending on which industry you are investing in this could be very sudden. Let's not give an idealistic view on stocktrading. I've lost decent amounts on stock, on the other hand I've also earned even greater amounts so all in all I'm OK.

Here are some obvious tips Anons:

Spreading your investments over different stock and valuables like gold or other currencies is a must.

Never invest money you can't afford to lose.

Think long term.

Learn about the industry you're investing in and imagine/calculate the expected growth of it.

Knowing some accountancy also helps a lot in regards to knowing about cashflow and net/gross profit of the company.
