Yeah Eagle here from Tennessee. I haven't been involved since the head scout leader of my troop died though a few years ago. I'm part of a Civil War historical society with the guy who runs a different troop I was in for awhile though. He's a cool guy but I think if I was going to put my support behind Scouting again it'd be for Trail Life USA probably. Heck I didn't really know there were alternatives to Boy Scouts until rather recently so I've been reading into all of them.

haven't been active since I turned 18 due to my disgust over the boy scout's position on gay adult leaders, they did walk it back somewhat last year which I was happy to see but it was a half measure. Seriously though, fuck the LDS

Yeah there's all this politics within the organization I never knew about as a kid. Everyone lines up with a different faction to push their own agenda. It kind of dulls my idealism toward scouting.
