With the rising support for the liberal government in Canada, if a election was held today the Trudeau-led government would gain a supermajority, winning 75% of the seats in the house

http://poll.forumresearch.com/m/post/2491/wide-supermajority-seen-trudeau-favourables-up
>>
Yeah, but an election is not being held today.

People like him now because he hasn't done anything, he's still in PR mode and life feels better without encroaching government, it would even be better if they cut back. But once his budget goes into action then all hell will break loose.

>Trudeau's rating at an all time high

Why wouldn't it? He's the feel good PM.

His ideas may be asinine and his arguments childish, but he makes us feel good about ourselves with his words and policies. At the end of the day, that's what's most important to Canadians.

I was born in this country and have lived here all my life. I've traveled all over and there's one constant among Canadians: envy of the US. In one way or another, Canadians are constantly reminded of their richer and more prosperous neighbours to the south and it's a source of unending shame. Like any younger brother, their gaze is always fixated on their sibling and they feel the need to distinguish themselves in any way they can. Ultimately, the Canadian identity boils down to "At least I'm not American."

So they compete where they can. Economically there's no chance. Freedom, upward mobility, opportunity... Zero. The only thing that's left is the moral high ground. "We're better because we care." And Trudeau rode that to victory. He never stops repeating the word "diversity," the wants to let more immigrants in, he will pray with Muslims, he will fight for higher taxes on the mildly successful and more handouts for the little guy, and in the end he will give us an unending supply of "look how much more we do for our people than they do."

It feels great to have the moral high ground. To be able to have an ace in the hole at all time. When asked why you're fine with less opportunity and freedom than your closest competitors you get to always say "look how much better we are." Trudeau gives Canadians exactly that and nothing else. And they're happy.
>>
>>70586706
he should give quebec to muslims as a gesture of good will
>>
>>70587270
Why? Trudeau hasn't even been in office that long and he has already crippled your dollar while importing barbarians who leech your welfare. All your post proves is that Canadians are delusional retards.

I grew up in Canada. This is absolutely true. I moved to America as soon as I was able to (after getting a bachelor's, as it was so much cheaper in BC) because here people are at least willing to admit that the US is best.

And it really is way better in every way. People are friendlier, food is cheaper, it's warmer, there's a history of art and music, there's a history period, etc. etc.

That cartoon is perfect.

>Pic related is Gerald 'Gerry' Butts - Google him, he is basically the Vice Prime Minister - He is Trudeaus main adviser / right hand man

Why is Mr. Trudeaus top advisor Gerald Butts worth mentioning? Well....

>He is/was a Bilderberg attendee

>Reisman is listed as a member of the steering committee of the Bilderberg Group, a controversial group of influential business and government leaders who meet annually behind closed doors under a media blackout to discuss world issues

Reisman has been a delegate for several years at the annual conference of the Bilderbergs. In Istanbul, Turkey, 31 May - 3 June 2007 she was in the company of other notable Canadians: Jason Kenney, Member of Parliament; and Gerald Butts, Principal Secretary in the Office of the Premier of Ontario."
>Gerald Butts, Principal Secretary in the Office of the Premier of Ontario

He also helped McGuinty & Wynne destroy Ontario, when in power as the Principle Secretary in the Office. Now he is the main right hand man for Trudeau.

It was a B.Sc., actually, and the reason was that the student debt bubble in the US was getting going by the time I was looking to go to school. (I started my degree in 2008.)

To go to a similar school in the U.S. would've only been about 20-30% more expensive (I think), but I would've probably been nailed by out-of-state tuition costs which would have made it like five times as expensive.

Further, by staying in Canada I could live with my parents for the duration of the degree, so I saved a ton on rent and food.

Instead of 25,000 'refugees', we now get 60,000 because it's 2016!

He's going to need some spare cash for all the fucking "refugees" his stupid fucking party is planning on bringing in...

>25,000 'refugees' has now become 60,000 ala Merkel-style
The estimated cost was $1.2BILLION for the 25,000....

Mark my words, the cost will be well over $100BILLION - How do I know this? Well, just look at the Liberal Parties past initiatives...

eg: The "Long Gun Registry" (LGR)

>It was introduced by the Liberal government of Prime Minister Jean Chrétien in 1993 and implemented by successive Justice Ministers Allan Rock and Anne McLellan.

The net annual operating cost of the program, was originally estimated to be $2 million.

>In February 2004, documents obtained by Zone Libre of Télévision de Radio-Canada suggested that the gun registry has cost around $2 billion so far.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_Firearms_Registry

They underestimated the cost by 100 times.

(Should have cost $22 million over 11 years, instead cost $2 billion)

So if it's anything like that with these "refugees" we're sending text messages to via cell-phone to get them here... That $1.2BILLION will end up being over $100BILLION. (not to mention that $1.2 estimate is only for 25,000, not the 50,000 that is the new number for 2016)

>For example, they are already on schedule to spend $80million just on their hotel bills from December to March.... that's already 40% of their estimated yearly budget already spent, in less than 1/3rd of a year

http://news.nationalpost.com/news/canada/government-hotel-bill-for-refugees-expected-to-near-80-million-by-march

Don't forget about the vacations. He got caught using private jet for his pals haha

>Justin Trudeau will reimburse taxpayers for part of the costs of taking his family on a government jet for a Caribbean get-away over the holidays.

The Prime Minister’s Office said on Sunday that Trudeau will pay the government for the equivalent economy-class flights for himself and wife and kids to travel to the tiny island of Nevis, where he spent 10 nights at an exclusive resort.

Like all prime ministers, Trudeau cannot fly on commercial airlines for security reasons and must instead travel on Department of National Defence Challenger jets, which cost about $10,000 per flying hour to operate.

"Young questioned if his memory was poor at the time because of the amount of alcohol and marijuana he’d consumed, but MacLean said it was from the beating he took and that his head ached for six months afterwards. “I had massive headaches and I couldn’t remember names, I had back pain,” he said. “My memory is a lot better now.”"

Count your blessings. I live in Toronto. Not only Toronto, but the largest Middle Eastern community in Canada. I would give up my own two legs for all the Arabs to be replaced with hillbillies.

>>Obama's rating at an all time high
>Why wouldn't it? He's the feel good POTUS.
>His ideas may be asinine and his arguments childish, but he makes us feel good about ourselves with his words and policies. At the end of the day, that's what's most important to Liberals.
>I was born in this country and have lived here all my life. I've traveled all over and there's one constant among Liberals: envy of the South. In one way or another, Liberals are constantly reminded of their richer and more prosperous neighbors in the south and it's a source of unending shame. Like any younger brother, their gaze is always fixated on their sibling and they feel the need to distinguish themselves in any way they can. Ultimately, the Liberal identity boils down to "At least I'm not Canadian."
So they compete where they can. Economically there's no chance. Freedom, upward mobility, opportunity... Zero. The only thing that's left is the moral high ground. "We're better because we care." And Obama rode that to victory.
When asked why you're fine with less opportunity and freedom than your closest competitors you get to always say "look how much better we are." Obama gives Liberals exactly that and nothing else. And they're happy.

This place is too cucked to save. In fact, the people here don't want it, they love their servitude & illusion of superiority.

All the best and brightest leave to the USA anyways, it's only natural.

The maritimes are rad as shit, I mean I'm still leaving, the taxes and complete lack of opportunity are just too soul crushing, but the maritimes are in better shape than most of the other provinces.

It's like a little piece of Poland in Canada.

>Not with Trudeau's electoral reform which will keep the Liberals in power forever.
>>70592319
>Yes because PR would be so terrible. I only like one party. There is not 52 parties like other places so ranked ballot is juvenile

You're both idiots.

Ranked ballots (e.g. IRV, Alternative Vote) is not PR. It wouldn't keep the Liberals in power forever.

There is one major country that has AV to elect into lower house - Australia, the shitposting country. It has two party system, with the center-right coalition dominating over the Labor cucks. Studies of the elections there show that the AV benefits the person who placed first in the first count - and if not them, then the person who place second. So really, it doesn't matter much in the end.

So why does Mr. $Current_Year/04/20 support it? Because it allows him to like this on top of an issue that he doesn't care about. He know the Tories don't want any changes and NDP wants PR. So the reform will be stuck in committee and evenly dropped and Trudeau will whine about how the opposition are block "real change" that Canadians voted for.

It's all a game, a fucking game.
