so like, if you earn a lot of money, then you have a lot of free time if you choose to have it. like if i earn at a rate of $100/hr then i can hire someone who costs me a rate of $80/hr and still have $20/hr in excess that i might save, meanwhile, that person getting $80/hr is doing things for me that i don't have to do, so i have some of the time as well -- however much i choose to aggregate by doing this over many, many hours, thus amortizing that cost. and my $20/hr savings is money i can spend later in lieu of working.
