Weed is obviously degenerate. It makes you feel good about being unproductive. I know this is true because Im a straight up stoner. I smoke about one or two bowls a day usually after work or before bed. But Im going to cut back because I want to start working on some ideas I have for some websites and apps. The thing is, I realized that all of those ideas were conceived while I was high. Is it possible that weed isn't entirely degenerate? Does weed have a practical, non-degenerate use in enhancing creativity like adderall does for productivity?

Consider that your body is so used to the drug that despite your body being "Drugged" you have the ability to think while under the effects of the drug.
Consider that in the complete absence of the drug you may return to a state of normal where ideas come to you naturally.
In my eyes; what you're doing here is being addicted to the drug.

In my opinion all professions should be creative in some respect. Artist (musicians, designers, painters, sculptors) do drugs because there job is explicitly creative.
I get high at work whenever I can and it doesnt get in the way. It helps with my social anxiety if anything.

The reason why weed and any drug should be forbidden is not the possible damage to one's health (if there is any), but the fact that it is addictive - a bad habit. Almost anything addictive is counter-productive, let it be drugs, porn or playing vidya. At best, alcohol drinks and cigs should be forbidden as well, but it's been legal for a way damn too long time and it's illegality would cause a public outrage, an extremely massive one. People are not used to drugs yet and it is not late to abolish this degeneracy so we can degenerate a bit slowly.
