I'm actually pretty wealthy so it makes sense for me to vote republican. Besides, voting republican is arguably more about social issues than economic ones. No matter who is in office the invisible hand of the economy is going to dictate things more than politicians.

Voting republican is in the economic interests of the entire nation. America did not get rich because of communists.

I love how the democratic party is portrayed as the righteous hero of the masses while the republican party is a small group of rich old white men. If this were true, why would the republicans ever win? If the majority's interests were truly aligned with those of the democrats, surely they would always win. But they don't. So obviously this narrative is not true.
>>
There are two kinds of Republicans. Those who can afford to live and go to school without having to fear for their safety, and those who cannot. Otherwise, they are very similar.

And, like OP said, you can tell them apart by their wealth.

I don't see "faceless corporations" benefiting from all the mexicans who work under harsh conditions for slave wages, unless large agriculture companies do. But here in NC, middle class people get their houses cleaned, built, and maintained for low prices. The ones who are hurt here are the blacks and whites who used to do those jobs under reasonable conditions for decent pay.

>>
>>70546388

In all seriousness, this is kind of an issue.

The problem with people is that they'll be unhappy if they get a check for $10,000 if it means that their neighbors get $100,000, even though they'll be much better off. Much more enthusiasm if they incur a debt of $10,000, so long as their neighbors owe $100,000.

We're all pretty rich here, but we think in relative instead of absolute terms. That's why San Francisco tech guys feel like they're going broke making $1 million a year, and kids with iPhones and a car feel like they're underprivileged.

It's just a flaw in humanity.

>The last thing I want is capitalism to go away.
>It's the only economic system that has ever worked, and it's the only repeatedly proven method of raising people out of poverty.

Very true. The problem with libfags is that they don't understand that the prosperity that comes with capitalism and an improvement in the quality of life for us are incompatible with globalism.

Capitalism is still fantastic at doing what it does. The problem we have is that globalization means that the huge gains in the quality of life are largely going to shithole countries. It sucks for us to lose jobs overseas, so much that communists like Sanders might seem appealing, but when people blame it on capitalism they're missing the point. People in other countries are seeing huge gains in their quality of life because they're participating in the American market, as laborers, consumers, and sellers.

Capitalism isn't failing. Whether it's local or global it brings people out of poverty, it's just that when it becomes a global, the biggest gains are felt by the poorest, who aren't Americans.

Both Trump and Bernie would be disasters for the world's poor, but either one would be better for America. Trump much better than Bernie, in my opinion.
>>
>>70550901
It was definitely successfully developed. The economy is in a terrible state today but it was still developed. If Castro was deposed in favor of a capitalist some time in maybe the 1980s, Cuba would be much better developed, but he was at first a massive improvement.

Don't get me wrong, no way I'm voting for Bernie but he's not entirely wrong there.

Nope. Cuba and Chile were in different situations, if Pinochet were in Cuba the country would have continued to have been economically exploited. There was already a right-wing dictator in Cuba before Castro took over. There's far more in the way of natural resources to sell in Chile, hence why capitalism worked there to develop the nation.

Castro did a good job at developing the country, but had no idea how to run an economy once the country was developed.

This.

There's another fairly large American communist party, I think the Revolutionary Communist Party. They're everywhere on my college campus handing out flyers in favor of feminism and against deportation of illegals. I love to get flyers from the college Republicans/YAL chapter and hand them out to the commies, kek.

Yeah, I think it's a real problem with people in general, and it's getting worse in the modern world.

In ancient times, the hottest girl you'd ever see was the hottest girl in time. Now every guy has seen hundreds of hotter girls completely naked than the hottest girl in town. Not that it's a bad thing, but it's a very different thing, and it skews perspective of what life is supposed to be like for everyone.

I have a pretty good job. I work for a non-profit, so it's not great, but I make a good enough paycheck. When I'm hanging around with our donors, being surrounded by millionaires who give $20,000 donations with the same ease that I buy a pair of jeans, I feel like I'm broke as fuck. When I'm hanging out with baristas who can't afford a car, I feel like I'm rich as fuck.

It's just crazy. We like to think that we're logical and smart, but we're pretty emotional and dumb. The ugliest guy feels like a sex machine if he's the hottest guy in the room.
>>
>>70553184
He doesn't even imply a change in the means of production, just doubling down on companies. It barely proves he's a socialist let alone a communist. Just more proof he's stupid.

Probably we should just agree to disagree, because neither of us are voting for him.

Niggerdom is a socially-constructed state of being, it has (mostly) nothing to do with skin colour. For example, anarcho-syndicalists are white niggers, Hasidic Jews are Jewish niggers, Sunni Muslims are sandniggers (whereas Ahmadi Muslims are perfectly fine), Japanese NEETs are Nippo-niggers and Somalis are Afroniggers

That's a stupid thing to say. You know interest on debt has to be paid?

You know that the more deficit there is, and therefore the more debt there is, the more government budget that has to be set aside to pay off the interest?

In what fucking world could you just run your debt up and up and up by running a deficit like you're "supposed" to?

This has always been one of the most interesting/confusing things for me. Republicans have massively higher mean wealth and massively lower median wealth.

But for whatever reason, these retards will vote themselves a new set of shackles over and over again. Maybe it's because Repubs are the only people shitty enough to tack on all the gay/minority bashing to attract the retard vote (people that know zero about economics or politics)?
>>
>>70558478
but you're just trading interest for inflation, why not just collect more taxes if you're going to squeeze people via inflation and get the same result? at least you avoid the volatility? it's not realistic to monetise all the debt at all
>>
>>70550143

This. It's envy and jealousy. If they see others have more, they cry and want that like babies.

That's why socialism/communism doesn't work and will never work. Even if you give everyone the same basic income, someone will gloat how they do the least and still get what everyone gets. Then someone who's given a little bit more (an extra helping of food/a better car/an extra modular commie home) and everyone gets their panties in a twist. Just think North Korea, do you think Kim Jong Un's generals don't live better than the average person? Yet they all get shitty free healthcare, everyones assigned a job...etc etc.
