If Greeks and Turks mixed, Greeks should have 2-3% North East Asian admixture, but they don't, while Turks got 7-11% on average.
Modern Turks are just native Anatolians with Turkic admixture, pure Turkics are more like the Kyrgyz.

It'd be great though. It can't really be achieved through war or diplomacy at the moment, but if there's a national awakening in western Turkey sometime in the future, it'd be amazing to witness.
Fun fact: the name of Istanbul (and Izmir) actually comes from Constantinople. Turks heard Greeks talk about going to the City (Πόλην, as Constantinple was usually called at the time) and derived the name Istanbul from that.

I'm not asking them to give anything back. You never know what might happen with politics. They might side with the wrong ally for WW3 and be forced to give up land afterwards, or a sociopolitical phenomenon may make them more accepting of their Greek roots in west Turkey. For all we know, the opposite may also happen and Greece may become enslaved to a second Ottoman Empire.
I'm just saying that, ideally, places of great historical significance to Greece would return to Greece. It'd be nice, even though it's extremely unlikely. In regards to Constantinple, think of a German-owned Paris for perspective. Wouldn't you long for it to return to France, even if 600 years had passed?
