The states coming up are mostly white, Hillary only does good with minorities. Bernie has more delegates than Obama did at this point and once Obama took the lead, the superdelegates abandoned Hillary and jumped to him.

The DNC has realized that Bernie can beat Trump while Hillary has absolutely no chance, so they're dropping her to keep the lobbyists in power.

he's still down 250 delegates

if he gets BTFO on 4/19, 4/26 then it's over.

but if he wins both those days with 55% he could legit win the nom.

the only problem is superdelegates. but if he takes the lead when they go to the DNC, they'll probably switch to him like they did Obama.

He wasn't calling Trump racist (and he shouldn't), he's calling his supporters out for giving Trump a bad name. >>
>>70539698
I would actually respect Sanders a lot more if he actually said this.

The problem with Sanders is that he wants European style programs without European style taxes. Examine the tax systems of these various European countries and realize that literally over 50% of their money goes to the government. They have very high income taxes, federal VAT and usually some other nasty taxes on top of that (super high car and gas taxes, for example).

Bernie says we can get all this free stuff and "the corporations" will pay for it. You won't pay, your employers will! ...And they won't simply move their operations to China because OH LOOK IT'S A UNICORN.

If Sanders just stood up and say "This is what we're doing and we're doing it by raising middle class income taxes to 40%" then at least I'd salute him for being realistic and truthful.

consider the low turnout for the democrats, despite the fire and passion from the left. The reason is that the radical left has chased the moderates out of the party. Know why Trump has been pulling in record numbers, especially in open primary states? 20-30 years ago he'd be considered a conservative democrat, a JFK without the finesse. The Republican establishment may see their base as lepers, but the Democrats has chased their base out of the party entirely, and only the extreme crazies are left. Trump is letting people see through the bullshit.
>>
>>70541963
Probably a mixed bag. A lot of countries like the whole "vote for a woman" angle; I imagine Trudeau and the Leafs want her because CURRENT YEAR.

OTOH, a lot of countries have universal healthcare and other socialized programs, so they probably lean more towards Sanders. And a lot of countries don't like warhawks as much as the US does

FWIW Sanders crushed her in Democrats Abroad, which was the primary for US citizens living abroad.
>>
>>70541963
There's no solid evidence who people internationally support, but my guess is that it's likely Europeans would like Sanders more than Clinton, and any democrat more than a republican. The Democrat establishment though? Firmly in the Hillary camp.
>>70542088
Kind of? Keep in mind the opposite party's turnout is always really high after 8 years of the current party. From the point of a undecided voter in the US, they hate both candidates, but my worry is the undecideds in a general will break for Clinton because "muh lesser of 2 evils"
>>
>>70542088
lolwut? The GOP primary is so mcuh more divisive that's why they get high turnout. Trump is bringing in record voters but 60% of them are voting AGAINST him. Independents and moderates voted Republican in Ohio specifically to see Trump lose. You can't talk about how Trump is getting record support when he's still only at around 40%

Dems are proportional in delegate assignment, so "losing" a state doesn't matter so much as how many delegates the state had and how badly.

Hillary is by any reasonable measure the strong candidate. By current delegate count it's obvious. By expected delegate count, she's still the winner. She's stopped putting forth resources towards campaigning against Bernie and is already planning for the general election. She lost in 2008, but only to the guy who went on to win the presidency for the next two terms by wide margins. She is leading Bernie by more than she was being led. At the same time. A large proprtion of Bernie voters, despite what /pol/ would have to think, are willing to vote for Hillary (and vice versa), more so than there are cross votes for Trump/Cruz.

She's the favored candidate to win this election at this point in time. If you wanted to throw sand into her vagina you should be arguing that she's had too easy of a time against Bernie, and therefore hasn't been the focus of a concerted republican attack (well, recently anyway), or that she's the establishment candidate (which she is) and voters want a revolution (possible). Pretending she's a weak or has been performing poorly is a delusion that only prevents more effective attacks against her..

>they'll probably switch to him like they did Obama.

They didn't switch. The undecided ones were more in favor of Obama, but only ~5% of the decided ones did.

Wow to say Hillary is the strong candidate is an amazing conclusion. Did anyone ever think that Bernie would be giving her any measure of difficulty at all? Making it up as we go I see
