/pol/ BTFO:

http://patrioticmillionaires.org

So explain how is it that these hard-working millionaires want to do more to help our economy, yet you faggots cry as if every penny you earn goes to buy drugs for welfare-hoarding sheboons.

Just as I thought. Not one intelligent response among you.

What is this site? Care to explain?

It's an organization that I belong to. We're a group of over 200 millionaires who want to do more to help our economy. But the politics in Washington are so corrupt that not even our combined efforts are enough to make a difference without the middle class standing behind us.

My dad works at Nintendo.

So that's it, then. Not a single well-thought response.

This is why I can't take anything posted here seriously. You people have no integrity behind your words. You're just a bunch of angry trolls who have nothing better to do with your time.

Encouraging socialism DOES NOT HELP THE ECONOMY. You know what WOULD help the economy? A group of millionaires coming together to proclaim "GET RID OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE"

You can always write a check to the Treasury if you want to contribute more.

I get the feeling that this is less about your contribution than it is shilling for why my taxes should go up under the smokescreen of patriotism. Nice try though.

All we can do is advocate that our tax code be revised. Like I said: We cannot effectively make change without the middle class doing their part. The middle class consistently votes against its own self-interests.

>>70528062
We do. In fact, I've personally been advised NOT to write a bigger check to the Treasury. You people don't have the proper perspective for this not to become binary: It isn't us not actually doing more. But I will say again: We don't have strength alone without the middle class.

Members expressly support legislation that directly yields:
>A fairer tax system that includes greater tax obligations for millionaires and major corporations who have benefitted the most from the nation’s resources;
So you're all social democrats?
>Higher incomes, beginning with a minimum wage of at least $15 an hour, for wage earners, who are the foundation of our nation’s economy; and
Ahahahahaha.

>$15 minimum wage
>prices and rents raise to compensate
>back to square one
>>
>In April 2012, the President invited the Patriotic Millionaires to join him on the podium for his annual Tax Day Address. The White House widely credits the Patriotic Millionaires with influencing the public climate in which budget and tax negotiations took place that year. In late 2012, the President signed into law the American Taxpayer Relief Act which, among other things, raised the marginal tax rate on incomes over $1 million.

Past tense.

>>70528785
I wouldn't describe all of us as Social Democrats. I'm not, for example. I just believe that our nation is strong when our economy is strong.

The economic impact of raising minimum wage is a tired old meme. We've raised the minimum wage several times without dire consequence to inflation.

Again, without the proper perspective these issues always seem binary or Newtonian/quid pro quo/vis a vis.

>>70529016
Some would call that "progress".

Here's what I don't understand: Under the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993 during Bill Clinton's term, the American middle class was waged a higher tax which went on to help balance the budget and stabilize our economy. Now you cry about any new taxes when the damage has already been done, but then some of you are against a fair wage. It doesn't make sense. Again with the binary reasoning.
>>
>>70528785
Sounds like just a bunch of millionaires trying to screw their competition over.
It's the same reason that Walmart is all of sudden trying to lobby for a $15 minimum wage as well. They just want to get rid of their small mom & pop competition.
OP is actually a scumbag trying to play his evil and malicious business practices as positive and ethical.
He almost fooled me too.
>>
>>70529989
Again: Binary reasoning.

Ask yourselves this: What more could any of us possibly gain? We're already wealthy.

We act in the name of patriotism. Ethics or no, shouldn't that suffice? I only say that because even with your penchant for binary reasoning, there must be an ultimate good that outweighs any sort of miscreant intent.

That is what our org is about. Money is a tool.

>Ask yourselves this: What more could any of us possibly gain? We're already wealthy.
Are you stupid? It's probably safe to say that all your wealth is inherited and that you have never ever once had to run a company.
By your logic, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are the best candidates for president since they're already rich and therefore are running out of the goodness of their heart.
You're such a fucking idiot. Donate your money to charity then kill yourself.
