The future is a place of accelerating changes. It seems unwise to continue looking at the future as if it were the past, where just because new jobs have historically appeared, they always will. The WEF started 2016 off by estimating the creation by 2020 of 2 million new jobs alongside the elimination of 7 million. That’s a net loss, not a net gain of 5 million jobs. In a frequently cited paper, an Oxford study estimated the automation of about half of all existing jobs by 2033. Meanwhile self-driving vehicles, again thanks to machine learning, have the capability of drastically impacting all economies—especially the US economy as I wrote last year about automating truck driving—by eliminating millions of jobs within a short span of time.

And now even the White House, in a stunning report to Congress, has put the probability at 83 percent that a worker making less than $20 an hour in 2010 will eventually lose their job to a machine. Even workers making as much as $40 an hour face odds of 31 percent. To ignore odds like these is tantamount to our now laughable “duck and cover” strategies for avoiding nuclear blasts during the Cold War.

All of this is why it’s those most knowledgeable in the AI field who are now actively sounding the alarm for basic income. During a panel discussion at the end of 2015 at Singularity University, prominent data scientist Jeremy Howard asked “Do you want half of people to starve because they literally can’t add economic value, or not?” before going on to suggest, ”If the answer is not, then the smartest way to distribute the wealth is by implementing a universal basic income.”

Robot application in manufacturing needs to be strictly regulated to prevent an economic disaster.

White countries are technically ready for this step, excluding the immigrant population explosion we are becoming less by population. With machines we could replace the labor we would need to sustain our quality of life, but instead we outsourced it to China and then flooded our nations with niggers.

Machines being used to replace human jobs needs to be done slowly and progressively and demographically we aren't ready for it because the conditions (shrinking population, highly educated population) are becoming increasingly unmet.

White nations could have become Utopias within this century - Universal basic income for all, with most jobs replaced by machines.
Now its too late, we are flooded with niggers, sandniggers and chinks.

So rather we will see economic disaster, and dystopia

I'm in my last year at school (over 18 calm down mods) and have changed the career paths I wanted to take about 4-5 times in the last 2 years.
Now I'm on a Neurosciences trip, but still not sure about the further existence of it.
MINT-professions seem to be pretty stable. Help me /pol/

Capitalism is doomed to fail and it has always been doomed to fail.

It failed hard in the 1930s but we patched it up.

It failed again in the 1970's after we started cutting so we decided to flood the world with "credit". Before then credit cards didn't exist. Now entire generations of people had credit against their houses, vehicles, and eventually schools.

Then around the 1980s-90s, capitalists realized they could get cheaper labor in 3rd world countries so a mass exodus of jobs began. The race to the bottom.

Capitalism fails again in 2007. We used a tremendous amount of TAX PAYER dollars to once again bailout capitalism.

Inequality is worse now than ever before in history, even in feudal times. Inequality is the product of capitalism and it is also the reason capitalism fails. The concentration of wealth means average consumers have less, which means there is less business, which means there is less demand for labor. Consumers drive demand, concentration decreases demand by limiting available capital to the worker.

The economic system is teetering and on the verge of collapse. The massive deflation of demand for workers due to automation is going to absolutely shatter capitalism. We need a different system. I'm not saying socialism but we need something other than capitalism.

Get a skill and sell it to rich people you fucks. A culture where machines make money automatically all day is a wealthy culture, wealthier than now. People don't need to be fucking starving that's hilarious, even homeless people don't starve.

You can either sit on your ass and get neet money because you admit you're a slug or try and do something cool with your life that people will pay money for. We already have people making money singing songs, dancing, even playing fucking videogames and telling jokes. These are the jobs machines can't take.

If we get UBI in a post work society and people just sit on their ass, that's it for the species and maybe the planet. Our only hope then would be if an asteroid wiped it out and the survivors tried harder 6000 years from now.

Shakespeare was hardly a rich man in his day, now PewDiePie is worth 13 million dollars. Do the math you fucks.
