Hell no, tolerance is not a good thing. Being tolerant means to endure something you do not like or something that is like a parasite in your community. It leads to tension in the community.
Most people who cry out "be tolerant" aren´t tolerant at all. Why? Because they are not bothered by muslims for instance. And if they are not bothered by them (i.e. you are not on hostile stance) then you can´t be tolerant, because that would mean you have to "endure their being". But if you don´t give a shit at all about them, this is not tolerance, it is "laisse-faire", or apathy/indifference.
The same people then meet someone who has other opinions (i.e. a right-winger) and attacking them and are not tolerant (like they preach to be). In reality, it´s not "left vs. right", it´s "why aren´t you an apathetic degenerate like me?"
These people have their culture and values destroyed through social engineering (i.e. public education) and went straight into apathy because they don´t even know were their values of freedom of speech come from and how many people died to protect it.
