Does climate change occur naturally?
Can you prove that it does?
Why does Trump think it's a conspiracy by the Chinese?
>>
Climate change is happening.
The fight seems to be over whether it's natural or whether it's entirely because of humans.

The problem is, idiots on both sides of the fence can't seem to realize it's a combination of both of them..
>>
>>70495511
Better to be safe than sorry, maybe humans aren't doing it but if we keep going on as we are we'll all be fucked. Also why the fudgeicle would it be a Chinese conspiracy? They burn more coal than anyone else they've got as much stake in fossil fuels as the Yanks.
>>
>>70497411
Trump says they made it up to steal business or something.

this

>>70495511
Honestly it is china creating most of the co2, but hey good on them cuz they can make shit cheap as fuck
>>
>>70497690
Again China has huge coal mines and would be against it, in fact they are against it they don't give a fuck about climate change because coal is so important to them. I know this board wants Trumps kids but he's being a fucking retard on this one.

Anyway I live high above sea level so when it's Water World 2.0, I hope everyone has fun fighting over their lemon trees.

>Does climate change occur naturally?
Yes.
>Can you prove that it does?
I see you know nothing about the ice age.
>Why does Trump think it's a conspiracy by the Chinese?
(Artificial) climate change is a conspiracy. However, China does have a pollution problem, so it's only natural that they try to get their populace to invest in pollution control.

Satisfied?
>>
>>70495511
>Why does Trump think it's a conspiracy by the Chinese?

Because no one tries to regulate China, the top polluter in the world.

He doesn't actually believe it's a conspiracy, just a fortunate circumstance that gives them an edge over us.
>>
Even if manmade climate change wasn't real, what about the downright dangerous amounts of pollution? Look at Beijing or Los Angeles air quality.
>>
i really suggest everyone read something about this if at least to learn something new. it's pretty fucking amazing, and nearly killed all surface and ocean life

The more noticable effect of Co2 emissions is the acidification of the oceans. That shit isn't natural and the fucking jellyfish are reproducing in masses.
>>
Nuclear energy is the future.

Thorium will save us a ton of pollutants. Oil isn't much of a prolbem because it's insanely efficient.
>>
>>70498512
i think it's bullshit that they are #1 in pollution
usa is #1, we cannot let them get ahead.
we must secure a future for our dirty children

That's really cool. Earth is a scary.

Yes it's killing our Great Barrier Reef I think.

So are the Niggers, but the media cares about the jellyfish more for some reason.
>>
>>70495511
Yes it does, obviously.

The environment isn't the same as it was a billion years ago.

Because it gets him votes, duh.

The worst with climate change deniers is that they're missing the fucking essence. Everything related to it is good for us in the long run, even if climate change is not inherently true or we can't stop it.

Like energy efficiency. Building a "passive house" with great insulation and ventilation system, and getting a way smaller electrical bill for you and your kids because of it.
Or renewable energy that allows regions and countries to be self-sustainable. No longer would you have to bow the whims of russians and saudis, they could simply go fuck themselves.
Less pollution and crappy shit around you.
Creating a global community of scientists and researchers who discover new things and make human life better.

It's a tough slog for a better tomorrow, and it doesn't even have to be about saving the environment or the polar bears. It's the new atomic age.
>>
>>70495511

Yes. It occurred long before humans existed.

Source on Trump actually saying that, preferably video or a direct quote.

what matters more to sea life is the acidity of the oceans. the hard mollusk shells and crustaceans cannot form without proper PH. the shells are misshapen, and do not function. reproduction yields little retard shells, sluggish and they swim in circles until they are tired. it's to do with the chemistry and how these lifeforms develop using elements commonly dissolved in seawater. species will die out here, and on down the line. it's a reciprocating death spiral for all involved. choral bleaching- there are species (such as those in the persian gulf) that do just fine with these elevated temps. they're not as pretty, but they'll fill the habitat given tens of thousands of years. it would be a boon for some and the death of many others. just like the great extinctions in the past>>70498646

yes, earth surface is primarily water. co2 is readily dissolved in water. what could go wrong?

the media speaks to the atmosphere because it directly effects us. it's visceral. the real damage will be to the oceans, but it's less dramatic. i hope someone learns something here, read about co2 in ocean, ocean acidification, because rising water means nothing comparatively
>>
probably a combination of natural and man made occurrences. The question is what's the ratio. If it's mainly natural changes there's nothing we can do anyway. If it's mainly man made then only he most drastic measures would suffice. The only solutions would be a major population cull or reverting back to pre-industrial times. If we make away with pre industrial technology this would lead to a major decrease in the population anyway.

It is a bit of a Jew lie. Here is the problem with climate change; it's a very rough science with absolutely no viable control group.

The issue that is larger than it is is that the methods to circumvent climate change have taken stage from the older idea of being "anti-pollution." So, you get a movement of things like carbon offsets and "green tech" that really do not do anything besides create barriers to entry for competitors in the industry.

I guess pollution poisoning the land and water, destroying wildlife, and generally reducing everyone's standard of living is simply not good enough.
