Honestly, though, I feel that traditional Japanese culture is very unsuited for a modern environment. While it did help propel them to become such a strong nation after WW2, the sheer strain of all those social customs in the already extremely formal business environment is quite a toll, and it drives down birthrates and creates Hikikomori. Japan was better during WW2. More savage and barbaric during war, sure, but stronger and much better off.

I've heard China is pretty filthy. Not as bad as India but still a disgusting place. I don't like Asians very much desu. Japanese seem to be more like Germans and English though, clean and historically pretty supremacist and classist which I can dig. Took a class on Japan last semester and the professor said that the one part of Confucianism that didn't take off there was meritocracy, and the academies were reserved for the higher classes. That probably helped them not become a nation of clerks like the chinks, by keeping the aristocracy pure and that way kind of being eugenicists.
