The 90s was the last time that things felt like they had a cultural feel, at least to me. There was this whole "90s vibe" but, like you said, right around after 9/11 things changed. Like, when I look back on time there is no feeling I get from thinking about the 2000s, it was just a time, whereas the 90s had a distinct feel. It's very hard to explain but do other people understand what I'm saying? I feel like you can picture each decade in your head when you think of it, the music, the clothes, the people, but anything after 2000 just feels bland and like things changed and there's no themes anymore.
