I've always wondered why Republicans haven't tried harder to court Mexicans. They're hard working, conservative, religious, pretty much everything Republicans like besides white. They only vote Democratic because they think it's in their best interest.

Romney won California whites by 53 percent. If the federal government hadn't adopted pro mass immigration policies, it would be a right-leaning swing state.
I don't have any data for who exactly is leaving. It could be mudskins looking for work, but I'm sure they'd benefit more from staying here. It's probably conservative whites escaping crime and poverty.
