I was in an Anti-Vehicle unit at this point, it was me a British dude and a Kurd. We were a few kilos outside Ain Issa, a town that was hot as fuck for weeks, airstrikes every day, being taken by us then taken by ISIS so on so forth. One morning just as the sun comes up fighting breaks out on all sides of us, every defensive position in our area started getting hit. We ran and grabbed our launcher(pic related) and right as we do we see that APC come bouncing over the dunes like a giant killer whale or something. We all shit our pants for a second and then run to the wall and start lighting it up. Nothing but small arms beside us, so I stick the rocket in, duck down, and the Kurd shoots... and misses. Load another up, shoot again, horrendous backblast. When i roll out of the ball of dust I look and see the APC, we had missed again... I grab my AK and hit the wall and now we all really open up of it, about 10 men, two pkc's the rest AKs and I guess we damaged it enough or scared them enough that they stopped right where you see, then one by one they ran out covered about 25 yards of ground and dove into a ditch. 6 in all, we all shot at them each as they ditched, and we all missed every single one. They crawled away to safety.... Not glamorous, but it was pretty crazy.
