I think regular Coke is better, and I will get a Coke if I go to McDonald's or a movie. I buy Diet Coke cans for regular consumption because it has more caffeine and I feel better about consuming 2 a day.

drinking soda is physically very uncomfortable for me since I dropped the habit some years back. every sip is an overly sweet, sticky experience that leaves me thirstier. and if it's a hot day, I can't think of anything worse. maybe a hot glass of milk

the pro-tip was aimed at young people who get whiskey cokes or rum and cokes. Diet works better for mixing. I'll drink liquor straight, but if it's well whiskey at a bar mix it with Diet Coke.
