america is experiencing what canada experienced in the 80s. minority portion grows large enough to swing elections, so politicians have to appeal to them to win. then no political party would be tough on immigration, so the demographics would change FAST with no opposition.
just look at the changing demographics of canada. people meme about canada always having an immigrant problem, but it really only happened in the last two decades. it happened because there's no opposition and any party who tries to push backed is doomed to fail because of the minority vote.
i hope trump would win because it would show that people with different policy ideas could be elected, but it doesn't seem likely.
