Nationalism is simply one way of dealing in political structures. There are different variants of it not just the Nazi side but they all have the same statistism implied which hopes to strengthen the country by either social works, economics, or culture.
I would suggest actually reading Mein Kampf, not for the edgelord, but analyzing it and seeing why Hitler thought the way he did. If you want to know more about nationalism between WW1 and WW2 in other countries I would suggest a brief history in the bourgeoisie as there are many history books about the matter. I would also recommend "Generation Identity" by Markus Willinger and "For My Legionaries" by Corneliu Zelea Codreanu. The former talking about the alt-right and the millennial generation while the former is an autobiography by a Romanian nationalist.

The us version is called paleo-conservatism. And yes literally the Jews invaded the republicn party with an ideology called neo-conservatism. These jews were literally socialists in the 60s and 70s and promote a Trotskyist ideology that is conservative in name only.
The paleoconservative wing of the GOP was led by Nixon, Buchanan, only alive today in Trump and Rick Santorum.
