Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump sought to explain the lull in his campaign schedule on Friday morning, tweeting that he still has "a major business" to run.
Trump raised eyebrows on Thursday when he announced that he was canceling a trip to California to focus on campaigning in his home state of New York, where he is heavily favored to win the primary on April 19.
Polls indicate that California could prove to be tougher for the real estate mogul. A Field poll on Thursday showed that he has just a seven-point lead over rival Ted Cruz.
