Tunisia completed combination fence/wall to close itself off from neighboring Libya. The 125 mile barrier is there to keep combatants from the Islamic State from entering from Libya, where there has been open warfare between factions trying to control the oil-rich country, among which are elements of the Islamic State.

The wall with the WB was just part of the solution, reconquering the Palestinian cities and clearing the house by house, strict (read "racist") security measures, and constant presence in the WB mowing down any two people that tried to organize did the rest.
A wall can't be anything more than a part of a larger solution, but it is an effective tool.
btw, terror attacks went down by way more than 95%, but it took 3-4 years of clearing the terror infrastructure to complete... no instant magic solutions.
As for illegal immigration, a border wall was again just a part of the solution which included deportations, sanctions against bushiness that employ illegals and rounding some of them up in the desert.
The result: illegal immigration dropped off by about 99.9%.
