The Heros We Need

Inexpensive, reliable, and pretty essential to a functioning country.

Well, I guess not so inexpensive if it's always being run at a loss, but, oh well.
>>
Let's ask comrade Sanders
>>
>>70368476

its sucks. Fedex and the like are infinitely superior
>>
What if the Post Office became the new government?

>go to the post office
>literally everyone who works there is a huge fatass
>only one person manning the desk at a time, rest stood around bitching about anything and everything extremely loudly
>ruder to its customers than the DMV across the street

But the actual delivery system? I have no complaints, the mail arrives on time. When I don't have to deal with a person in the office I'm content.
>>
I started working for the post office after quitting 4 years at a jew bank. so much happier now. so much easier and stress free, get to walk and exercise every day, and best of all no manager breathing down your neck telling your whole team we're gonna get laid off if we don't do better and better. I can also browse 4chin and listen to audio books while on the job.
>>
>>70369400
its actually required by the US constitution
>>
>>70369400
It's quasi-government and doesn't receive tax dollares tho
>>
>>70369400
socialism was when it was illegal to carry mail and the government shut down better mailing businesses than the USPS so that it didnt have to compete
>>
as of this year they've been shit. They advertise my delivery date for 7th but I don't receive it until 9th. Minimum 2 day delay now.

The truck drivers got so lazy they don't even leave the 'sorry we missed you' notice anymore. They just basically tell you to fuck yourself and pick it up from the P.O. yourself

Fuck the post office. Government cant do business
>>
>>70369796
Founding Fathers were obviously statist socialists
>>
>>70368673
First post best post
>>
>>70369796
That doesn't change the fact that it's socialism.
>>
>>70368476

Gets a pass since it was expressly created by the Founding Fathers
>>
>>70369400

its literally our oldest government institution

and stop with your faggy tumblr tier passive aggression. Your shit tier meme country was born out of a socalist country crumbling down into civil war so dont pretend like its this great thing that only a stupid person would reject

>go to the post office in next town over
>5 minutes extra round trip
>nice old lady postmaster drinking coffee
>postal semi drivers hanging around drinking coffee
Why do you still go to the post office in Niggerville when White Acres is just down the highway one exit, anon?

Golly gee well where do I start? Oh man, this is nuts... My dad was a mailman.

USPS is not allowed to profite (or it is limited), but as far as I know it's the only federal organization that is run as a business instead of leeching an ever increasing amount of tax dollars.
>>
>>70371001
On average, black female postal workers have a bad attitude. Seems to be a running theme in other places too.
>>
>>70368726

lets not forget wholly inefficient, staffed with overpaid, lazy, apathetic democrats.

I don't mind though since correspondence is vital to any society.

Privatize it

inb4 republican cucks on /pol/ talk about how they need the long dick of the government in their lives - just like the leftcucks.

The only time I've had subpar service was from a white woman with a haircut that could pass for dyke. She was mildly snarky at me.

Ever other single postal worker I've met has been happy and helpful or bro-tier or something like that. The local rural carrier was an especially cool guy when I'd see him on the street, although it was mildly creepy when we got on a first name basis and then he told me where I lived and when my birthday was. It makes sense, really, if your job is to deliver mail to the same people every day, but I just never really thought about that.
>>
>>70368476
A total joke. Send a package from Jewazon in Hebron Kentucky down to below Louisville instead of ten miles north to me outside Cincinnati.

>sorry deliver delay lolololol
>>
Fastest and cheapest service for me. Packages show up in good shape and on time or early.

>fedex constantly late and packages look like they were drop kicked

>UPS is expensive and inconsistent on delivery dates
>>
>>70368726
>Well, I guess not so inexpensive if it's always being run at a loss, but, oh well.

You'd be running with huge losses if your board members(the U.S. Congress) made you fund pension liabilities for future workers who haven't even been born(75 years), and restrain your ability to adjust pricing so you are less competitive.
>>
I guess the actual delivery is OK, but the offices are fucking horrible. I have to wait in line for an hour pretty much every time I need to pick up a package.
