I worked at a shooting range for a year and have been shooting regularly for a decade. Out of my 6 good friends, only 1 has ever came with me. It is not due to me not inviting them either.

The millennials that whine about gun control and are afraid of guns have never actually owned, handled or used a gun. These same people are also much more vocal, so you see them on the news and media more than they should be.
For example, the fact the congress in the US is mostly republican would surprise the average fuckwit because from what they see and hear on media makes them think there are tons of liberals, but the silent majority is called that for a reason. They're not liberals, and they're not portrayed in the media. So they voting doesn't usually aline with the media and hollywood leftist elites, so when the silent majority chooses someone like George Bush the lefties lose their fucking minds and accuse the system of electoral fraud, because to them it's infathomable that they would vote like this.
The Media and lefties in general influence the weak minded and emotional people by over sensationalizing any issue to their ends. They use emotional rhetoric especially when dealing with guns. People with guns know gun control doesn't work, people who don't own guns think it does and always think there's never enough of it. It's like how feminists think that teaching men not to rape or making it easier to report rapes or convict men for rape (regardless of innocence) will prevent rape. Neither party understands that people who rape or own illegal guns and kill people don't follow the law, and they know what they're doing is wrong and don't care about it. What does prevent the problem in both scenarios is a more armed populace because criminals will be less likely to attack people if they may be shot by armed citizens. But that's a logical solution, and requires accepting that government involvement doesn't solve the problem, something the left cannot do.
