They're powerful but inaccurate unless the barrel is long. Low capacity with no ability for upgrade. They're fairly popular for CCW, though as you can get hamerless and low profile. Most of the time a semi auto 9mil does the job better and has a lot more potential. Revolvers like Dirty Harry's are pretty impractical other than making people shit their pants

I bought it about 5 years ago from directly from Arsenal. Had it shipped to an FFL. Arsenal stopped making Russian made SGLs, they're all Bulgarian now, which is just as good, really. You just have to catch them when they're in stock. K-Var has some in stock now and then.

It is. Mateba is the brand, 6 Unica the gun. Rhino is made by Chiappa, but designed but the same Italian guy. I was actually debating getting a little snubby Rhino for EDC. I don't know how well it would work though. You can get it double action only without an external hammer so something less that'll catch on clothing on draw, if you're worried about that but I do t k ow if I should be.

Just a few very good guns in the $5-700range.
I typically recommend 9mm for caliber since it is light recoil high capacity and modern self defense ammo largely negates handgun caliber anyway.
You won't have to spend that full budget to get a very good defensive firearm and the rest can be spent on ammo and some training.
Go to whatever avenue available to handle handguns and find which one fits your hand the best and do some research of your own.

You can also look at the glock 26 M&P sheild Walther CCP.

I used to own one. I sold it a year ago because it just meh. And I still have all my fingers attached. It's a neat gun in all, but the design is kinda crappy. It's gas system is way overpowered. You won't have this problem, but over here in the US you have to use European made brass as American manufactures use undersized case heads and the Ljungman already has a tendency of ripping case heads off.
Though, it is hilarious to shoot at a gun range as the brass flies everywhere and the muzzle break is so load it pisses everyone else off.

In my experience snub revolvers are much less accurate than other handguns. I have a snub S&W .357 that I got when I was young because I thought revolvers were cool but the thing shoots like shit and hurts my fucking hand every time I take it to the range.
