Attempting to conquer the largest country on earth concretes the narrative that he wanted to conquer Europe.
Literally the only argument you have in your favour is that he was taking back German lands and invaded France because they declared war.

Well, Hitler wanted "Lebensraum", which was necessarily expansionist. Of course, Lebensraum was actually for the purpose of "self-sufficiency" or "Autarky".
But Hitler's Lebensraum did extend beyond merely what was necessary to feed Germany. The actual borders of Lebensraum, were designed to give Germany all the resources it needed to match the resources of the other great powers of the time.
In fact, the Lebensraum borders were based on Germany being able to match the resources of the United States(the rising superpower of the time). As well as to prevent the rise of the Soviet Union(whose vast territory provided it an overabundance of resources to feed its industry).
And what was the actual point of Hitler's lebensraum? Because if Germany did not have control of all the resources it needed to feed its industry/people, it would necessarily become dependent on other powers/nations for those resources. And as a result, Germany would itself never again be an independent nation in any real sense. And it would be open to being controlled by foreign powers.
Basically, it would functionally cease to be a sovereign nation, and would become a dependency of a foreign power. Just as it is today. A dependency/protectorate/colony of the great American Empire.
Germany must be a global nation, because it has no other choice. It could not sustain itself otherwise.

Denmark and Norway were to help the war against Britain (who declared war on them). France declared war on them. Belgium and the Netherlands were needed for a successful offensive against France. Balkans were needed to secure the flank whilst fighting the communist dogs.

Reading a book right now called Hitler's Empire,
So far, from what I read. Hitler hopes for a European cooperative sphere, both economically and militarily with German guidance. He essentially wanted to create a European powerhouse that could compete on the global scale with the United States.
I really hate the 'conquer the world' meme. He specifically wanted to stop in the East at the volga-astrakan line. He wanted to expell Bolshevik influence from Europe. The only territorial aims outside of Europe he had was the reestablisent of German central Africa stretching from the Atlantic to the Indian ocean, this was mostly to cater to the fetish of the former colonialist of the Imperial german era.

Let me add. Hitler basically wanted Germany to be a lot like Trump wants America. To be a kind of isolationist power. To close up our borders, to stop almost all immigration, and to effectively shut off international trade, through protectionist trade policies.
The problem was that, other nations have in the past tried to do the same thing. Japan for quite some time was an isolationist power. But what happened? They didn't have the resources and population necessary to drive the technological advancements necessary to keep up with the rest of the world, and ended up getting their anuses pushed in by the United States(watch "The Last Samurai" for some historical context).

Hitler realized that, unless Germany could continue to match the population and resources of the other world powers, its isolationism would, over time, make it weaker, and weaker, and weaker. And eventually, the combined power of the rest of the world, would leave Germany unable to resist.
Hitler realized, as Mikhail Bakunin realized, that over time, nations have continued to get more and more and more powerful, by combining themselves into larger and larger confederations/federations(IE the United States, the European Union, etc). With an expansionist Soviet Union to his East, and the British, French, and American Empires to his West. Germany, after losing its colonies after WWI, would inevitably be gobbled up.
That in effect, the culmination of this slow centralization of power into larger and larger states(all vying for control of the world's resources), would inevitably produce something like a "one-world government". Where a single power/state would control all the world's resources, and thus, all the world's peoples. And this internationalism would necessarily destroy any sense of national culture and identity.
That the future would be one massive grey, cultureless blob.
