Why is there this living meme that every Mexican is a 5'4 brown smelly indio. I'm tan with green eyes, yet my Mexican cousins have white skin (Not fair like a Swede ofc) and brown eyes. It's funny because i'm half white yet have tan skin.
Most Mexicans I know are pretty white except the ones from the south from like Yucatan but they generally seem like nice people

You have to realize that a lot of Mexicans in the U.S. are displaced corn farmers who were run out of business by American subsidies being maintained in NAFTA. The only winners of these trade deals are big multinational corporations. The was probably written by their lobbyists and then passed by congress without reading it.
