you can buy huge ass houses in the so called "hungry valleys" in Slovakia for a couple of bucks. There are no jobs, so the young are leaving and only the elders stay, once they die the kids sell the houses for dirt cheap. Or anything in the eastern slovakia (but not too far, near the border with ukraine is a booming market due to profits from smuggling).
