Why doesn't this book get shit on by cultural marxists
>>
>>70336987

Because the vast majority of them don't see the Marxist narratives in their own arguments/beliefs, and the ones that do have no reason to pick a fight with a book most people forget past 16 years old
>>
Because openly supporting the ideology that we should be robots for our government is the most retarded thing someone could say. Instead they brainwash society and do it secretly.
>>
>>70336987
Because they reinterpret it as anti-corperatist.

Anon was referring to the societal structure in the book
>>

They were assigned a job and worked until they were too old and later killed because they were no longer of use. Differences were discouraged and punished.
>>
I can't remember what this book was about, read it when I was 12. But I know that divergent book series ripped it off.

Such a great book, shame I was too young when I read it to fully understand it.

This. Far too many of the socialists/communists/statists don't see how similar they all are. 1984, Animal Farm, The Giver, Brave New World, etc. They all see right past it, nodding along that it's a horrible world described, and go right on creating it, vehemently saying how they oh-so different from tyrants, even as they forcefully impose their will on you.

They are just like O'Brien. Perhaps worse; he owned up to his cognitive dissonance in a sense. Though perversely embraced it, too.

Kid lives a utopia. The weather and everything is controlled. The world is seen in black and white and everybody takes lots of drugs. One man in the society holds all the memories of the people and can see in color. Kid is chosen as his apprentice and the utopia slowly appears to be dystopia and any more would definitely spoil. Very deep book that 12 year olds read for some reason

>marxisms fundamental principle is class struggle, oppressor vs opressed
>racism is power + privilege
>blacks are an oppressed class
You're the one who doesnt know what he is talking about. Cultural Marxism is a thing and was developed by the Frankfurter Schule.

Man that book was considered 'easy' reading for my 14 year old self, but dam now I think about it the world portrayed in that world is scary and yet strangely admirable. Lots of deep themes in that book for what it is.

Like, I can appreciate the efficiency of the society. I wouldn't trust most of humanity with feelings and independent thought either but what can you do?

Humans are flawed and that's what makes the great ones greater, the shit ones shittier.
>>
>>70338919

It then gets ruined with it's sequels that describe other primitive societies that are also communist.

That book gets shit on by everyone with taste, politics notwithstanding.
