Sorry to hear about your friend, but I agree with the whole "Dallas is a wasteland".
Took the DART down there for an evening, and left a bit later than I should have. I got accosted by not one, not two, but 4 different gentlemen of color for things like money, a cellphone, and even a pen (which I actually responded somewhat more politely to).
Then another guy, a white drunk, talked about how the Pentagon had secret computers that knew everything about everyone and that aliens were totally among us.
God damn, that was a weird night.
