>Billionaire David Tepper’s decision to leave New Jersey for tax-friendly Florida has Garden State lawmakers scrambling to find a way to avoid the edge of an income tax deficit cliff.

>“We may be facing an unusual degree of income-tax forecast risk,” said Frank Haines, budget and finance officer with the Office of Legislative Services, according to Bloomberg.

>New Jersey’s annual budget relies heavily on personal income taxes for as much as 40% of the state’s revenue. Currently, less than one percent of Garden State taxpayers, i.e., the uber-rich like Tepper, actually pay about a third of New Jersey’s income tax bill.

Liberals are incapable of learning from this.
>>
>>70319529
I heard something about Chicago having a millionaire drain as well, turns out they don't like living in unsafe citys.
>>
And liberals say billionaires won't move.
>>
>>70319637

You can't balance the budget on the backs of the poor either.

The rich are taxed more because they can afford to pay more without it impacting their standard of living.
>>
So how will Bernie ever pay for all his gibs programs when all the millionaires and billionaires move to Belize?
>>
>>70319637

That's not true, they're well aware of the problems their policies create, that's why they signed the TPP and are trying to create tax inversion laws to make sure "everyone pays their fair share"
>>
>>70319925

Protectionist trade policies. If the billionaires don't have access to the #1 consumer market in the world they won't be billionaires anymore.
>>
>>70319925
hold them prisoners until you tax them to death

Bernie will build a wall just like trump. Only difference is Bernie's wall keeps you from leaving.

>liberals fw they realize they'll have to pay for their degrees no matter what because billionaires are like everyone else and hate taxes
>>
>>70319529

>One fucking guy leaves and it causes a crisis
>B-but everyone is paying their fair share, Mitt Romney was a liar when he said 47% of people don't pay taxes.

How can liberals ever recover from their cognitive dissonance?
>>
I'm fucking trapped in NJ. Nothing but old people live here, there are zero jobs, and it's impossible to find cheap living. Fucking help me.
>>
I live in NJ it's a fucking mess. As soon as they get a Democrat to replace Christie they're going to pass their retarded "Millionaire's Tax"

Can't wait for the entire state to turn I to Detroit when that happens

Move to Delaware. Better taxes and lots of finance jobs. Plus we have better gun laws than texas.

Tell me about it. I work in NYC making $89K per year... I refuse to live in a city and all the nice suburbs outside the city are expensive as hell. Want an average house? $500K at least.

So I'm stuck with over an hour commute into NYC just so I can avoid living in a shitty town full of nigs

THE RICH ARE THE ONES WITH THE ABILITY TO EVADE TAXES!!!
Taxing with diferent percentages for different income levels just hurts the middle class.
The middle class is the most important class in the economy.
Having a middle class is what separates a 3rd world country from a developed country.

The American Dream was being a middle class individual. Having a nice house with a nice lawn, a pony car on the drive way and a steady job to provide for you family.

>Sell off interests in the company for several billion dollars
>Move overseas and renounce citizenship
>Back in the US the company crashes and burns under the incompetence of the new management and the oppressive economic policies.
>Tens of thousands of jobs are lost
>Wall Street loses tens or hundreds of billions of dollars
>I'm still a billionaire and the IRS can't touch me

If 1 fucking guy can have the taxman wetting his pants, all this tells you is that modern credit-based capitalism is irretrievably broken as a social system for getting shit done.

Hmmm. It's almost like le ebil 1% pay a majority of taxes or something...
>>
>>70319783
they're are taxed more because of greed and egoism, because they're just a minority anyways, and they're not gonna be hungry or shit, so nobody cares

you're pure evil
>>
>>70319783
You can and should tax rich people more but you need to give them reasons to stay.
>>
>>70326196
We shouldn't, they're already taxed enough, instead we should focus on creating more rich people.
