There are more towers being planned and built in Chicago than ever before. Gentrification is very rapid here, changing and displacing people from neighborhoods such as Wicker Park, Logan Sq, Bucktown, Pilsen. These were shitty and crime ridden places, now filled with flourishing real estate developments and blonde women jogging in the tightest leggings they can find. Overall, blacks are leaving Chicago at unprecedented numbers to the South.

Because they have disposable cash, yet not too much, they tend to move into working class neighborhoods that are close to public transportation.
