A MYSTERIOUS planet that wiped out life on Earth millions of years could do it again, according to a top space scientist.
And some believe the apocalyptic event could happen as early as THIS MONTH.
Planet Nine – a new planet discovered at the edge of the solar system in January - has triggered comet showers that bomb the Earth’s surface, killing all life, says Daniel Whitmire, of the University of Louisiana.

These comet showers are unnatural, and stupid, since nothing in the solar system except light itself and the sun moves that fast.
The article is bullshit, and we don't have anything to worry about anyways, they move so fast they can be nudged by the gravity of jupiter just a little bit and get thrown into the sun or off course. If it sent comets every 25 million years they would only reach us in literally billions of years.

At best the comets would move slower then the average comet and just acelerate with the help of the sun, but that means it would top off in the double digit kilometers per second, therefor the shower will literally never reach us if it exists.

We already know they don't, it's too far away to whip anything up and mass extinctions don't happen every 27 million years and not by asteroids.
If this comet swarm existed then Planet 9 would have to generate extra mass of mess with gravity to make the comets slingshot towards earth faster then any other comet has even been. Which is impossible since the fastest a comet has been in the solar system is 65km/s and these comets would be fucking 10 - 100 times faster then that. Which means they can't come from planet 9 if we go by what the article described.
Meaning they don't exist.
