I grew up in the south in a genuinely middle class politically moderate household, my dad is a democrat and mom is a republican but both don't vote straight ticket, I'm a third generation Eagle Scout (dad's father was the first), so I try to be friendly and helpful and outgoing to most people I meet. I try not to judge, and even then it's usually by people's actions and personal experiences with people or groups that I base any bias or prejudice on.
I was never a SJW, I've always been pretty moderate all around. I have left leaning views and right leaning views, and one thing I'm right leaning on is immigration and letting in Islamic folk into the country. I don't hate Central and South Americans, I think simply by the fact that they are illegal immigrants they need to be deported because they're breaking the law by being here. I was exposed to the beginning of SJW's in college, I graduated in '12, and I thought those people were really judging and genuinely unhappy since they kept going around to find things to make themselves upset over. I didn't agree with them and if they ever confronted me I'd stay my ground if they finally forced an opinion out of me.
Being in the south I've grown up around black people, I've had lots of black friends growing up, and around black people I don't censor myself because I don't think I have to and likewise they shouldn't have to.
I try to be very live and let live, but I also think people need to try to use their abilities and talents towards making our country and way of life better, not just living selfishly and thinking only in the now. I have a feeling this might be a tl;dr for some folks but this is just how I feel about most things.
