JK most Bulgarians are cool people. Biggest problems with the country is that is has a post-Soviet oligarchy dictatorship, like most former communist states, and the percent of Muslims is one of the highest in Europe. These are mostly Turks though, not Bulgarians, and Bulgarians hate them and will hopefully remove them someday.

Spent about 4 days in Sofia while visiting sites in that side of the country (mostly caves nd shit), drove through Turnovo and walked around there on the way to Burgas.
