Hey /pol/, I'm not a regular here, but I had a thought. And I thought, this would be a good place to share that thought.

I've been delving a bit into some of these alternate ideas, i.e. holocaust, globalist agenda, etc.. Now, I like to think I'm open minded so I consider both sides of the arguments here. And there is A LOT of truth to what you guys say. You guys bring up a lot of facts and figures and you are always well prepared for an argument. But more importantly, you guys aren't afraid to think creatively. Outside the box. You're very good at "connecting the dots" of these events. We call these "connecting of dots" ideas. On the other hand, these same ideas are called "conspiracies" by anyone else.

Anything that doesn't correspond with the norm or group think is a conspiracy. Any multifaceted idea is a conspiracy. Any idea that tries to link events or solve someone's motive is a conspiracy.

These same overarching ideas were once called theories. How come this isn't the case anymore? How is it fair that someone can dispel your whole argument, or idea, by calling it a conspiracy.

So now getting to my question after too many words... Is there a "conspiracy" behind this use of the word "conspiracy? Is this someone's plan to be able to squash any kind of independent thinking? To prevent asking questions? When did this word start to be used like this? How did it evolve to the state it's in?

The Merriam-Webster definition of conspiracy puts it as: a secret plan made by two or more people to do something that is harmful or illegal

That is not at all how the word is being used now.

Thanks /pol/lacks (this the correct term right?)

No I haven't. What is it a book or?

Agreed and great topic OP.

If you'll give me a second i can tell you cunts some details on australia's worst conspiracy and the doublespeak used by the media.

It's a short book written by George Orwell (aka Eric Blair) who worked in the propaganda department in Britain during WWII and wanted to let people know what was going to be in store for them. One of his principle foci is the intentional manipulation of language as a form of mind control.

But it's worth reading. Its predictive accuracy is almost startling, even though it's mainly allegorical. But if you look into things enough, you'll see that it's more or less the same gameplan as always and everywhere.

>>70263460
Much like pathologizing opinions ("phobias") conspiracy theory is a Jew tactic to stop the Goyim resisting [being turned into rootless mongrel cattle], even in thought.

you ever see the movie "conspiracy theory" with mel gibson?

"The CIA’s campaign to popularize the term ‘conspiracy theory’ and make conspiracy belief a target of ridicule and hostility must be credited, unfortunately, with being one of the most successful propaganda initiatives of all time.” -Professor deHaven-Smith

How many redpills would you like?
>>
>>70263460
Yes
Mainstream media is ingested since birth for the mainstream, always programming certain biases and a communal perception of the depth of reality

conspiracy is a term of ridicule according to them
it is never legitimate
aliens are never seen because there is no evidence to point to for verification, never mind that when something is seen, it isnt taken as evidence starting the cycle again
anything outside bipartisan politics is a deadly avenue to follow
zionism is non existent, or your friendly victim
muslims are victims too!
every one is a victim but white people of "x" nation
guns are bad
welfare is good
>>
>>70264609
Thanks, I'll check it out. I have read bits about the role of American propaganda in WW2, but nothing intesive. But this societal manipulation stuff really interests me, especially its clear link to today's world.
>>
>>70263460
Yes, it's an old CIA thing.
>>
>>70263460

I have unironically read that the CIA pushed the term "conspiracy theory" in the 60s to make you sound like some OCD wacko if you didn't support the Vietnam war.

Jews forced the meme of "conspiracy theory" as a substitute for alternative ideas.

ok cunts, here's the story of australia's port arthur massacre, unbiased facts.

>Shooter had a mentally retard level IQ
>Outwits police with military level tactics in creating a diversion, then proceeds to get a kill count while firing from the hip, higher than some SAS commandos said they could get

Sounds a bit suspicious, but that's absolutely nothing compared to what happened after the incident.

>By tasmanian law, any mass shooting is required to have a colonial inquest held. None was ever held.
>The alleged shooter's multi-million dollar estate was confiscated before trial and proceeds given to the victim's families. This prevented him from hiring a lawyer.
>His public lawyer convinced him to confess. No trial was ever held. That's right, this man never got a trial.
>Media was barred or HEAVILY restricted from talking to him. Spend some time on google reading about this.

The entire treatment of this poor man makes me sick. Perhaps he really did do it, perhaps not. What is abundantly clear is that this man was not given justice and used as a scapegoat to take away our guns. He was guilty until proven innocent, which undermines our entire fucking justice system.

Immediately following the gun confiscation, crime skyrocketed and systematically ever since australia has been losing other rights since they know we can't fight back.

I will be providing cited sources below.
And here in our media, read how every single article plays out.

>Children
>Women
>Emotionally fuelled arguments
>Use of words like monster, evil

Our media has nearly every cunt here convinced this poor bloke is pure evil hitler racist nazi, but anyone who spends time researching the facts themselves will come to the conclusion that.

>Either the government orchestrated this to take our guns
>Or the guy really did do it, but the government used it as a excuse to go nuts and take our guns, by completely ignoring any chance at proper justice
>>
>>70265338

It's traditionally traced back to Edward Bernays, nephew of Sigmund Freud (watch out or the Prussian intellectuals of that era btw, but that's a different story) whom Goebbels cited as his inspiration for Hitler's propaganda ministry.

If you're into documentaries, head over to youtube and punch in "Century of the Self" which is a BBC documentary. The first episode in particular is a good primer on psychological warfare.

And here is a source from wikileaks which discusses it in further detail than i can.

https://www.wikileaks.org/wiki/Martin_bryant

It comes with leaks AND additional cited sources.

Another fact i forgot to mention is the 30 year evidence embargo.

That's right, the government thinks we're too stupid to have the DNA evidence be public. All evidence relating to forensics is embargoed for thirty fucking years.

Suspicious, right?

>Its predictive accuracy is almost startling
Orwell wasn't simply a novelist that wrote a book in which he envisioned a certain future out of his own personal imagination, rather he was an insider in those circles of power that had the world described in 1984 as the goal in their agenda

The reason he used a pseudonym was because he was basically leaking information to the public (albeit in a fictional form)

Italy is on the ball.

Flood the market with poor, low quality conspiracy theories to devalue the ones you wish to hide.

It wasn't long ago that the idea the U.S. Government/NSA monitoring, spying and recording every text message, phone call, website visited, etc. of the American public was a "TINFOIL HAT CONSPIRACY THEORY!".

Then we got proof, and suddenly those people railing on us for believing in such "crazy conspiracy theories" switched tactics to "So what? Of course they were! We all knew this already! You're dumb for thinking otherwise!".

I'm sure there's a technical word for it, but I don't know it
They're just attacking your argument by calling it meme words with bad connotations. Instead of refuting they just call it racist and dismiss it

"Conspiracy" is just lazy short-talk for "Conspiracy Theory".

However the "Conspiracy" part of it is used as a pejorative to "Theory" as if conspiracies never happen or something.

>So now getting to my question after too many words... Is there a "conspiracy" behind this use of the word "conspiracy? Is this someone's plan to be able to squash any kind of independent thinking?

Uhh yes, that isn't even a "conspiracy theory", it's well known that the term was popularized by Nixon while denying wrongdoing during the Watergate scandal, which as it turns out, was a Conspiracy Fact, not just a theory.

If we're speaking scientifically however, what are commonly called "Conspiracy Theories" are actually often Conspiracy Hypotheses, or possibly Theories depending how much evidence, testing and research has been done on them. It seems that when a Conspiracy Theory is revealed to be Fact, or if you will, a "Conspiracy Law", everyone seems to forget about it and pretend it doesn't exist, like MKUltra and biological/chemical testing on unwitting civilians courtesy of USGOV.

Holohoax was greatly exaggerated and nukes may be big bombs but they definitely aren't the "le super effective world destroyer missiles"
they were propagandized to be.

>>70265299
Yup, from what I've now read of other sources it seems the CIA was behind the re-definition of the word

>>70265338
Wow. That is a crazy story. But at the same time not all that surprising... Too many people don't read in depth enough on these things and believe everything they read.

I do have a couple questions though:
Did the man have military training? How was he a retarded millionaire? Knowledge?

>Media was barred or HEAVILY restricted from talking to him. Spend some time on google reading about this.
Has he had any press while in prison? Because otherwise he might not even be in prison. Or only on those days that they schedule for him to be seen by media.

>>70265542
Sweet more stuff to check out thank you!

>>70266209
Obviously not all my friends do this, I was speaking about it generally. People generally use the word conspiracy to dismiss other people's arguments.

>>70266243
This frightens me. I saw that same exact pattern of: Big rumble when it was leaked, and now general apathy and no more news about it.
>>
>>70267513
I have to go do the dishes and stuff like that, but my recommendation to you is that there are a lot of people here who can recommend more material for your review than you'd have time to consume, but that if you want it then you have to make a suitably interesting thread and ask for this or that kind of thing in particular and just just "hay pole give me your favorite redpill books."
>>
>>70267513
he inherited the estate, he trained with guns in the bush but no formal training.

the media here plays along, NOONE questions the narrative. he's an evil monster and don't you dare question the many suspicious facts like why he never got a proper lawyer, a trial, or the fact the public is not allowed to see the evidence!

It's called disinfo. If you make conspiracies seem nutty in general then you make people talking about actual conspiracies seem like they're also nutcases.

FPBP

Also pic related, capped from a while back. Red pill got dropped on some faggots regarding this idea, but nice to see a whole thread about it.

It's memes. It always was. Think about propaganda posters back in the day- a memorable picture and a short catchy phrase, repeated over and over.
Buzzwords, all it is. Nowadays these include things like "literally hitler" "rape
Culture" "black lives matter" etc.
A word or phrase is picked to associate with an idea and repeated until it sticks in genpop's heads.
