He lost the war the moment Japan attacked Pearl Harbor and Germany declared war to USA. The Americans had a huge industrial machine that was unmatchable by Germany in terms of volume and reliability [the Sherman tanks were small, but were so reliable that some went into action without needing one single repair, unlike the Tigers that required extensive repairs after an average of 40km of marching]. Only a miracle would have saved Germany in a fight against what the Americans could bring to the battlefield.
Hitler's intuition in picking allies was dreadful. Japan contributed exactly zero to the Russian campaign [the only one that was sensible to be involved in], and Italy... well, you know what happened.
