A theory I have about this is that the women who say "teach men not to rape" genuinely think that men feel as if there is nothing wrong with raping a woman, because they are unable to even comprehend the idea of knowing something is wrong and still doing it.
This isn't because these women have good morals and stick to them.
It's because no matter how shitty something they do is, they will do some mental gymnastics to contort the situation until they feel completely justified in doing what they did.

Most kids shouldn't even understand the concept of rape if you have been a good parent, teaching them "not to rape" would just be to put that notion in their heads. I'm don't imagine that rapists are obedient people either, remembering people saying DON'T DO THIS to them years ago would probably just increase the thrill value and encourage them.
I think this idea is ridiculous and would just increase rape rates just as teaching kids about modern genders and sexuality will increase suicide rates.

You kinda have to at least describe rape in order to teach them to not rape. And to know the concept of rape is to become a scholar of it. Once the (rape)seed has been planted, the damage is done. You start teaching it as a standard rule, there's gonna be plenty of boys who decide they're too cool for rape school, and do the exact opposite of what they've been taught.
