If you vote in, you get to see the hydrogen blimp that is the EU go up in flames. You can then participate in the first european race war. Sounds fun right?

If you vote out, you retain some autonomy in the face of psychopathic globalists. Sounds nice, but you will inevitably be bombed by The United States for being a rogue state.

If there's an issue about trade then we should leave anyway out of principle.

If the EU is an economic blackhole, pressuring surrounding countries to join and change their countries forever just to join the common market, then it should be destroyed.

I don't like the EU overruling British law, and i don't like certain aspects of the EU's structure

but I do like that they are Pro-consumerists, and most of the regulations protect the average person from lax product standards, and its not like a company can threaten to leave Europe, the reason they can be like this is because most of Europe is in the organization so the company is forced to comply

Hard to decide really

A "leave" vote is prretty much the same as saying "im not kissing Merkels ass anymore", so the choice should be pretty obvious.
The same goes for the French regarding the vote in Le Pen.
>>
>>70243772
There's been a lot of fearmongering about trade recently, but the fact is that we're the 5th largest economy worldwide and are an important trading partner for other EU countries. The idea that the EU wouldn't negotiate a free trade deal with us should we leave is ridiculous, it's cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Hopefully should we leave we can get some better trade agreements going with other nations we have good ties with like India or important developing economies in Africa.

To me the most convincing part is that we're a part of the Commonwealth meaning we have fairly close ties with many other nations world wide, hopefully if we left the government would strengthen our relationship with them.

>>70244735
>>70245262
The EU does seem on the surface to be pro-consumer and to an extent they are but make no mistake it's as much subject to the pressures of big business lobbies as any single nation is.

If you've got the time I'd really recommend watching this speech by an MEP about the EU
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PalZQapEnbk he makes a lot of convincing points and goes into more detail about businesses lobbying the EU amongst other things
>>
I love how /pol/ hates politicians all about "muh feels" and making morronic decisions just to get votes... but somehow hates technocracy too.

Look man, if you want a stupid uninformed American's opinion about this, hear me out:
The EU was originally established for Trade reasons, for economic unity - as I understand it - to make trade easier between independent neighboring states. The EU has started to effect policy of it's member states beyond the economic realm - therefore it has overstepped its boundaries, and any state that wishes to remain sovereign has a responsibility to dissolve it's relationship with the EU partnership.

Really, the EU is getting to fucking big for its britches, and starting to power grab. SOMEONE needs to knock some reality into the EU hive-mind - and the only way to do that is for important member states to leave.

I think at least in the future though its not going to be the "UK vs" like it was in the past but rather the "West vs", the international organisations like the EU and NATO came partly from that right so maybe it really it's in the UK's greater interest to form up with the west.

Super easy fact for you:
We pay the EU £55 million A DAY to be a part of their collapsing shitty club (and everything it brings with it ie: migrants, not making our own laws and policies which damage our economy in favour of other European nations). We are also a net-giver to the EU so our money essentially goes directly to Germany bribing poor states to join.

Imagine if we had all that money back, even accounting for the cost of international tariffs (worst case scenario) we'd still be in the black.

There are loads of arguments for leaving (very little for staying) but this is a simple easy to understand one

There is a deep relationship between the EU and NATO and there are shared and working options, this is mainly a headache for the Americans and the Cyprus-Turkey issue but i doubt cooperation will slow down as the EU tries to better solidify its foreign outlook.

That isn't what i meant rather that regional and military integration was very much pushed by the U.S and external threats and the West is only going to suffer more external threats as the rest of the world booms in population and economics so therefore it may seem rational to cooperate.

UK Privatization, Free Trade, Thatchersim has turned UK Manufacturing 300 years old into Archeology

The great con that ruined Britain

I am so sorry now that I fell for the great Thatcher-Reagan promise. I can’t deny that I did. I believed all that stuff about privatization and free trade and the unrestrained market. I think I may even have been taken in by the prophecies of a great share-owning democracy.

Peter Hitchens, Published: 2 April 2016

I thought – this now seems especially funny – that private British Telecom would be automatically better than crabby old Post Office Telephones.

I think anyone who has ever tried to contact BT when things go wrong would now happily go back to the days of nationalization. Soviet-style slowness was bad, but surely better than total indifference.

>Brexit happens
>Dutch anti-EU rhetoric increases
>Portugal, Ireland and Italy all look for renegotiated terms effectively ending Schengen
>Visegrad 4 bloc together to fuck Germany on Migrant numbers and economic matters
>Le Pen leads France out

By this point the EU is essentially Germany and its protectorates, the Eastern states Germany relies on will leave and form their own super bloc (Visegrad 8?).

On an international scale the USA will be pissed as it's just lost it's biggest globalist partner and has to look more locally at issues, NATO is still intact to counter Russia.

Russia is happy because the economic power of the EU is further blunted, but angry because the enhanced power of the Eastern states (and maybe the Baltics if the Visegrad 8 happens) makes it's Western border less predictable.

China is happy because it can flood Europe with its cheap goods which it is trying to sell because of their faltering economy and HUGE stockpiles of shit.

The EU is restrictive in terms of trade. Everyone WITHIN the EU trade sphere gets no tariffs, but everyone OUTSIDE has to pay tariffs.

Outside of the EU you can easily negotiate with countries within the EU and you can much easily establish trade with the rest of the world. Russia, China, India, US etc. Leaving the EU does not per se means cutting trade ties btw, those are separate, although Juncker will probably haunt you for a while with sanctions till he gets hanged on the DotR.

Depends really. Leaving aside my personal issues with EU standardisation, and the direct impact of EU laws on our economy...

I'd argue that the Eurozone crisis has exposed the flaws in the European project.

The alternative, in emerging and emerged economy is highly attractive, I'll freely admit.

Coupled to this is the EU's delay in making trade deals. Forgive me for borrowing a phrase from John Oliver, but "it's 2016 right now", and the EU has yet to secure favourable trade deals with China and India. Outside of the EU, we'd be free to make trade deals, not only with these emergent states, but with Europe itself.

We currently run a trade deficit to Europe, accounting for approximately 56% of our imports and 47% of our exports. I'd say, coupled with the nature of our economy, Europe needs us more than we need them.

Aside from the fact that we'd still be bound by EU standards and health and safety law if we want to export, it could work out fine.

The EU will cease to exist within the next decade.
If Britain leaves many more will follow.
What then happens is really open.
Considering even the USA have always been pushing for a European Coalition that is what most likely will happen.

Also you have to consider that the EU was doomed from the start, as it was initially planned as an German-French System but was made into a Europe wide union by pressure from the USA.

It depends on the US' stance. Russia want to be friends, I know Balticbros don't believe this but it's true. Their economy is still weak and their power is still variable.
If the US are friendly, along with European states there would be no problem.

In truth I don't know. A fully fledged Cold War? No. But I'd expect more soft conflicts like Syria where proxy wars are fought (again probably in the Middle East, I'm sure Russia has plans on how to destabilise Saudi Arabia to help Iran and vice-versa for USA).

The crucial thing here is to point out the EU DOES NOT strengthen security. Whether that be against Russia, Islamic states or even the USA itself. The EU caused the shitstorm in Ukraine and, when it came time to show some backbone, they withdrew. The economic sanctions imposed were negligent and not on key things such as oil (if Germany stopped buying Russian oil or Gas then Russia would have been fucked)

Europe is a threat to the USA at least in their eyes.
If you dont believe, consider that the USA maintains several military bases in Germany and through out Europe.
Considering the advances Russia made a unified Europe may be very desirable for the USA because it would protect them from being dragged into a war they dont want.

If after the fall of the EU no other Union arises there will be a war at some point.

NATO is less of a military alliance and more of a state of having your military captured. NATO countries cannot be strong except when acting as an arm of the United States which is itself just an arm of international organizations.

NATO is to military what EU is to economics and local politics. Anti-EU people will inevitably become anti-NATO.

>Russia want to be friends, I know Balticbros don't believe this but it's true.

It's true, we don't. History taught us too much on that, and Georgia/Ukraine episodes are barely a sign of being friendly. I myself work in a service which counters russian propaganda in Lithuania, and trust me, russians work really hard here. Anyway, not the topic itt. Point is, I want to like Russia, I really do. It's just their history and current actions that are extremely worrying, all that "imperial" rhetoric.

>The economic sanctions imposed were negligent
The average salary in Russia (in USD) dropped by 50% because of the falling ruble. Minimal monthly wage is now stands at 89usd. All major companies suffered massive loses.

I really hate to take this role of a panicking butthurt lithuanian, but sometimes you guys just don't know or don't want to know real facts about Russia. I really think UK leaving EU is more than fair, but I really fear of potential war all over again.

Yes, EU doesn't provide any real tangible security. It's more of a psychological thing. But my thinking is, if EU loses credibility, NATO will lose it proportionally as well. Moreover, integration of countries east from Germany will stop, meaning it will fall to Russian influence.

So I really see the coldwar scenario once again.

Yeah I'm sure Russia will invade countries with an alliance with three nuclear powers.

Can't say as Island is too small, it's in the south west though so it's not rampant with lefties but votes are votes.

No Europe is easier to control as a whole.

>i mean on your own you guys are great, but together you guys are one massive bleeding vagina, that apparently craves shitskin cock.
Thats exactly the point of the EU

If you stay in you're going to get raped by muslims and your country will turn into a shithole.

I'm voting to stay in, purely for the chaos.

He said Russian influence, not that they'd invade. The goal of NATO is to completely and utterly encircle Russia and then hit them with such crippling measures that they are forced to revert to 90s Yeltsin days or worse. Then, this time they will not recover. Anything that doesn't work towards this is an increase in Russian influence.

Move to Best Korea?

It's all a set-up. We are not playing games, trust me. Just waiting for the right cards before we play out our hand and reveal our power level.
Stuff is happening in here.

Investments into what? A major part of our country has no fucking jobs, no fucking future and no fucking income. Hell, I only see elderly people around me getting kicked out of their housing and houses getting closed off, then being rebuilt and then just standing there, either empty or half empty. There are practically no fucking jobs outside of Riga. If you live somewhere like Daugavpalis or near it, you have a better chance of finding a fucking job in Russia than in here. Fuck you and fuck the EU, you cock sucking homo. Georgia and Ukraine are US played out scenarios and there's more than enough information on that floating around the net. You job sounds like a job or you're just shilling EU.

or should we send them to the tory HQ with no stamp attatched?

I believe there is a massive chance that no actions would be taken by USA, UK, Germany etc to defend Baltics/Poland, if that would be the case.
Why get in a war for other people, right?
Documents and treaties mean nothing without willingness. And general euroscepticism means a great lack of it.
But can't really blame anyone for that.

The chaos from staying "in" will be terminal.
The chaos from voting "out" will pass quickly.

The country is fucked regardless of the choice. If Britain leaves, do you seriously think there are any parties competent enough to lead the country?
>>
>>70249606
yeah, sometimes they don't even wait till the end.

this guy(pic) isn't even really a dumb ass, it's just an act to appear more charming...i assume he still doesn't come out in public because he's still searching for his sides

bill clinton has the best sense of humor that doesn't have to be 100% cruel though

This desu.

Myself I'm more for a secession made up of just these states; we share more economic and cultural similarities than all of bloody europe, so it could work. Would you sign free trade treaties with us?

I wouldn't mind a Boris lead Tory party desu

Maybe not within the next 30 Years but I doubt the stability the EU brought us will last forever.
And at some point there will be some tension. Probably not within Europe but the world is big.

Well yeah in that we'll be absorbed into the USSE at some point.
But imagine the OUT chaos, Cameron and Gideon resigning, the lefties shitting themselves and probably protesting over a democratic result.

The truth is nothing will happen either way, that's why britian is so confused

that "recession" we just had, all that actually happened to the common man was that he knew someone who get laid off from a factory job and sweets and drinks (some, not even all) went up 5p

it's pretty surreal
