but for anyone interested. Real Arabs are only from the Peninsula. Arab is more a linguistic/cultural identity today as the "Arabs" of Levant are Semitic but not Arab (descendant of ancient phoenicians etc) and "Arabs of Mesopotamia are descendant of Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, etc. The real Arabs are in Saudi and neighbouring countries. The Arabic language spread very fast through the Islamic Caliphate among Semitic speaking peoples because the languages were half similar already.
