There has been a lot of good advice in this thread OP, know you are not alone.
Here is some advice I havent seen here yet. You can always reinvent yourself. Always know that despite its problems, Australia is a land where you always have a second chance.
Always know it is never too late to change your course, or even to change to another uni. I changed universities halfway through a degree, and got credit for nearly all the units I had completed. Changed to a slightly differnet degree too. Got that one, then wanted to do a diploma ir masters in compsci. I couldnt decide which uni to do it at, so I enrolled in two, then withdrew from the one I didnt like 6 weeks later, just before the uni census date. Get a medical certificate, and do a "withdrawl without academic penalty" if you have to.
Btw, I never finished high school. I quit in year 11 because I had depression and anxiety and was drunk for my first exams. I have been in mental hospitals twice, was on the dole for years. Like anything, It gets easier to deal with the more experience you have. I get knocked down, but I get up again.
Stop going on fakebook as much, or delete it completely. I have an account because the group for my course is the only place a lot of info gets posted, but other than that I never use it, and detest the damage it is doing to our society.
More and more people seem to be getting sick of fakebook these days, more people I know are openly saying they dont have accounts.
Friends come and go. You can always make more. When you get a job you will probly be stuck talking to the same people for 40 hours a week, and many will have nothing in common with you. Friends become a weekend thing, and when you get older and find a partner you see them even less. Get a hobby you can share with people who have genuinely similar interests to you, not just people you go to uni with and get drunk with.
