Illegal immigrants can get paid less than minimum wage and overall don't have to follow any of the rules since they are illegal residents anyway. They don't pay taxes on their income either, but will try and get access to social benefits, becoming a further burden on society.
Illegals mostly work unskilled labor jobs and are competition which locals can't match.
In the USA, the ones most affected by this would be young people and minorities. The ones who gain something from this are the employers who don't have to pay as much and the illegals, who may be getting less than minimum wage, but it's still more than what they were making back home.
And this is just the economic side of things.
