Both wrong. Cruz won on the third ballot at the RNC. He had tons of stealth delegates in Trump's 1054. The Rubio, Kasich, and most of the uncommitted delegates folded to Cruz after the writing on the wall was obvious.
Trump blew his stack all over Twitter and national media. It was much less ugly than anyone expected beforehand. He never bothered running a third party/write in campaign because he knew he couldn't win. Only spoil the election and damage the Trump brand forever.
Most of the riots in Cleveland were started by left-wing protesters. There was a lot of shouting by Trump diehards inside the convention, but no violence. They were far more outnumbered than they anticipated by all the Cruz stealth delegates.
Hillary lost badly by going scorched earth on Bernie Sanders in the last leg of their primary. The Green candidate, Jill Stein, won about 4%. Half of that was from pissed off Bernie holdouts. The rest were liberals who still wanted to vote, rather than sit out like many of them did, after the media found out she had serious throat cancer around the time of the second October, 2016 debate.
Hillary Clinton died in 2018. Her funeral was a non-event after all the ill will she stirred up among Democrats.
