they'll just add more fake ones.
The delegates are cut loose from their previous obligations and can vote for whoever they want.
Votes are repeated at the convention until one candidate reaches the minimum.

That would be very interesting, but I don't see either doing that. Trump just wants to go down in history as the guy was cheated for the presidential nomination, Sanders wants to build a mass movement like the Pauls in the GOP.
