>Yes but why just decide to randomnly open fire on a plane LEAVING the Ukraine?
There's 4 theory:
1) They wanted for a plane to crash at Russian territory, so they could say clearly that Russia did it, muh sanctions.
2) They were thinking it was Russian/Putin's plane.
3) CIA operation for muh sanctions.
4) Misfire. Not like it's the first time.
But we can ignore 4th theory, because there were Ukrainian jets at that place and time, and Ukraine not showing radars data and flight control recordings.
>Especially knowing the rebels did not have an airforce.
>They still believe that they at war with Russia
Ask Ukrainians, why they deployed Buks there for. It's an Autism country after all, who knows what they were thinking.
>There were reports of cargo planes shot down, higher than 2 km altitude.
4-5 km at most if I remember right. That's the celling for available manpads.
>Most probably by BUK missles
Yeah, because Russia is ebil and wanted to shut down some civilian planes for shit and giggles, and/or all operators were drunk and didn't paid attention to radar data at all.

Let me get this straight.

This was a vote to decide if UKR joins the EU right? And it was voted no?

Is it Netherlands only, or does the whole EU have to vote too?
>>
>>70164005
that, or you just shouldn't arm cheeki breeki's with air-to-ground missiles only to have them shoot down a civilian airplane in your proxy war, you filthy slavnigger.

Not a vote on joining the EU, we'd have probably seen WW3 by now if hat was ever proposed.

This is about "closer ties" with Ukraine, not actually joining the EU.

The Prime Minister said he would consider acting on the result if over 30% turn up. My bet is that he backpeddles like a cunt because "It's only 32%! That's basically 30!"

This was determined to be a shit quality fake.

The Dutch investigation determined it was a Russian made BUK.

There was a Russian BUK in the area, that was transported out immediately after the plane fell.

There are recordings of the proxies celebrating a successful shooting down of another Ukrainian plane before they realized it was civilian.

Russians will keep demanding "proof," it's been fed to them by RT and TASS. They need a signed, notarized and apostilled letter from Putin with finger prints and DNA samples.

Ukraine did not have any in the area. Not was Ukraine shooting at airplanes.

In fact, Ukraine had air superiority at first. Until, that is, Russia provided the anti air capability.

The proxies were shooting down Ukrainian planes and helicopters regularly. With equipment they "stole and pillaged," right?

While I like the EU-Ukr association agreement, I can see why people don't wanna enlarge the EU.

Best they could do is have a free trade deal with Ukie and allow for integration into security/intel umbrella while withholding EU membership until their economy won't devalue the Euro and until corruption/crime is low enough. Schengen would be a different thing alltogether and that might take a couple of decades.

TLDR: they should be part of the EU, but EU should increase its pre-requisites for membership while slowly increasing integration with the applicant nation.

rapid expansion is what broke the EU, not overexpansion.

>>
>>70188479
It's complicated. EU has very broad legislative authority but they don't really a strong executive but instead the states are obligated to make EU-law into it's own law and enforce EU-law. This does mean that EU is dependent on the obedience of the member states, it also means that it becomes more obscure what is confederal law and what is national law (unlike US law where federal and state law is clearly seperated). Also member states have alot of direct influence on the EU as the council is made up of the member states governments (somewhat like the U.S. senate used to be.)

As a Dutchy I'm seriously torn between the results of this vote. At the one hand I think it's actually good to see that we could potentially cause the government to get cucked. But why this referendum fellow countrymen, why for fuck sake?

1. If you have brains you could look at all the pros and cons and see that it could only make us better to accept the treaty. All this hurrdurr about muh Greece is pretty much bullshit.

2. So many people were annoyed by the pure thought of actually voting for this that they didn't. I think the actual results are not generalizable as such, since the desinterested (and none-voting) people were mostly the ones that were fine with the treaty. I know some of you will say that's shit logic, but if you ask around this is true.

3. A decent amount of voters voted no just to piss off the government not even being properly aware of the subject.

4. Dutch hypocrisy is huge in this matter.

>Plane get's shot down by Russia
>Whole country goes balistic
>Blaming the government for not giving Putin the finger
>Have an opportunity to give Putin a finger by going for a treaty with Ukraine
>Vote no

Are you seriously this dense? You know that about 40 million euros of our tax money was spend on this referendum right. Furthermore, do you even have the brains to comprehend that the EU actually helps us to have the economic wealth we have in the Netherlands now. Of course there are instances when it cost us money, but people seem to forget that the EU actually stimulates our economy as well.

This guy loves to get cucked by the EU.

There are various reasons this becane a no vote.

-revenge for the lisabon treaty
-anti-eu sentiment
-poor representation by our government
-wanting to see how the government will deal with this because it's interesting
-the whole yes-propaganda and sabotage of this referendum lead to no-votes as well.

Ukraine shot down Russian civilian plane in 2001 and wouldn't admit for years. Later Kutchma just said "meh, shit happens". This is common sort of apology you get from cockholes. They have lots of good resources.
Their problem is one of Eastern Europe we hear over and over again.
The shadow of their existence as part of the USSR has fucked them up pretty good and they haven't been able to properly recover from it yet.
Add to that Eastern Europe basically being the south America of your continent and you've got a bunch if nations with potential but no way of culling their bloodlust and an unwillingness to modernize or change their attitude

I agree with you that the Netherlands is one of the few countries that benefits from eu+euro. We fucked over the south big time due to their low currencies att.

But taking in a country torn by civil war... well, no thanks. I also don't want their products, they can promise me the world but not too long ago we found out there was horsemeat in our ikea-balls.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2013_meat_adulteration_scandal
It came from Romania, "eu-originated".
So I'm not very confident Ukraine will deliver HQ goods. Nor am I confident that this is the only fraud-case, just the only one we know about.

Ukrain hasn't got its shit together yet by FAR, why would wan't an instable partner? God knows how long the war will last and pestering Russia will only weaken current borders. On top of that I'd rather just have our country expand trade with Russia, which has a much larger market and has proven to be a decently trustworthy business partner for many years, plus they love our products/intelligence and can pay for it(without puppeteer sanctions that is). Do we want trade or do we want war? Are we that desperate for selling our weapons and obtaining gas/or at least make sure Russia can sell theirs?

Ukrainian air defence systems including BUK telar and radar systems.

Remember Ukraine has shot an airliner down before as an accident during a training exercise.

My theory is simple. Ukraine did have a fighter in the area, but it was acting as a target for radar to lock onto to test the system and train the crew. But rather than have the system set to training settings, it launched the missile for real rather than a simulated launch. With the airliner in the area, it was the largest radar reflector and the missile went for it rather than the Ukrainian aircraft.

This would explain why the Ukrainian government has refused to hand over primary radar data. Has even gone so far as to say all radar was turned off at that time.

The big problem plaguing the investigation is that Ukraine is part of the investigation team, and only statements all members agree on unilaterally will be released. Rather than treating them as a suspect.

I do not believe Ukraine did this as part of some elaborate false flag. Nor do I believe the Russians could manage to smuggle a BUK system across the border, set it up and shoot down a plane with it and then smuggle it back across. All without anyone noticing.
Not to mention very surprisingly. Without any acquisition radar system? You are firing missiles completely blind without that. Making the system next to useless.

The fact that America keeps saying it has proof Russia did it, but refuses to show it, should tell you something is not as it seems.
It's like me saying I'm a girl and when you say "Tits or gtfo". Instead of posting said tits, I point to a social media account that says "Yeah anon totally is a chick with big tits."

They never actually were in power, and many of 90s shit was mostly caused by Soviet Union not being transformable at all. As for late 90s, Gaidar's measures were right on paper, and nobody knew how to execute it properly (I think Poland tried doing same stuff knowing about our mistakes and succeeded).

However, this new generation is just pure shit. 90s guys were thinking what to do with Russia, but current ones can only think about overthrowing Putin, with no creative part to their beliefs at all. Had they been elected, they'd probably go for gay marriage legalisation and then call it a day.
