For the uninitiated, the referendum has been influenced by supposed neutral parties and general incompetence.
>closing over 10% of polling stations with bullshit reasons
>municipalities sending biased information to voters
>ruling political parties deciding not to inform the public in the hope that <30% will show up
>straight lies about contents of treaty
>ministry of economics removing information about child labour in Ukraine
>biased organization in charge of spreading campaign subsidies
>incorrect instructions at polling stations resulting in insubmissible votes

There's more but I cannot be arsed to write it up. Its just generally fucked.

>>
>>70139034
We are voting wether we want to (continue to) make association treaties focused on trade and collaboration to increase stability in Ukraine.

Or better yet, the treaty has been silently pushed into effect already and 400k+ citizens called for a referendum to re-evaluate this undemocratic process.

30% turnout is required for the referendum to have any merit. And even then, a 'no' is only 'advisory'. Still, it will be political sudoku if they were to ignore a strong 'no', considering we have general elections next year.
>>
>>70139034
The EU wants to help Ukraine get more 'stabalized' by giving them help. Every EU member agreed with the bill, except for the Netherlands which yet have to decide whether they agree or not. The parliament was about to agree, but then a referendum got in the way.
We acquired enough signatures to host a referendum about the bill. If we reach 30% votes with the majority AGAINST the bill, the parliament has to revisit it.

In the end, it makes literally 0 difference. The boars in the parliament don't give a fuck really. Even if we reach 30%+ votes with a 65% majority AGAINST co-operation with Ukraine, they will dispose it and officially agree with the EU bill.

Ukraine is a shithole. Politics isn't run by jews, but by criminals. It's better for us and for Ukraine themselves.

>>
>>70140007

A fair opinion that I don't agree with.

Every other nation has interests invested in this agreement that are not shared or benefited by the population. If a small group of people didn't pick this up and organized against it would've been slid right by us again and costing us a lot of money while not benefiting us in any way or form.
>>
>>70140611
How about not throw money into bottomless pits. Who cares where it goes to, its a shit tier way to spend it. Certainly not to the benefit of the tax payer.
>>
>>70140611
No, because $20 is universal one-way help without any conditions or side effects. EU-Ukraine co-operation will result in Ukraine becoming part of the EU, which is hard to get rid of with international pro-EU propaganda.

Rotterdam is just in, only 25% turnout!

>>
>>70140007
Every time that EU tries to "help", they fuck things up and make everything worse. Just look at what's been happening with Greece or the refugees. People leading this shitty union are either incompetent or corrupted and evil. Referendums like this serve to expose them.

I was never given a chance to vote about Ukraine, or the Lisbon treaty, or whether I wanted to join euro. If I had, I'd have voted against all of those. I don't like the idea of people far away in Brussels making decisions that affect my country or my hometown.

I'm thankful the Dutch are fighting back, and I hope we'll eventually get enough momentum among the public to do it too.

In some Uk elections people were unable to vote because the polling stations were "too busy", big queues snaking around the corner so they turned people away.

I've been to Utrecht several times (will be there in a couple weeks) over the last 5 years.

What's the deal with that city in terms of politics? Last year I feel like there were a shit load more muslims than when I was first visiting 5 years ago, but could be because I was at the train station a lot (I believe there was a mosque nearby).

Utrecht is a beautiful city with tons of qt3.14's, but it's filled with idiot students. The biggest politcal party is D66 with 13/45 seats. The D66 party is a 100%pro-EU party who wants to make studying a lot cheaper by subsidizing it more and giving the students a higher monthly compensation.

The funny thing is, the party leader, Alexander Pechtold, took 11 years to finish his 6-year Art History study.

The students favor the party because of the student-pro's they get and follow every D66-viewpoint blindly. The D66 party was the biggest party that campaigned to vote pro-EU.

I would have thought liberal students would be opposed to globalist EU measures.

Utrecht is definitely a nice city with beautiful girls. I love Dutch girls, they are beautiful and seem more real if that makes sense. But I haven't had much interaction with many of the locals in Utrecht.

I'm pumped about heading back to Utrecht and the Netherlands. I love the Belgian fries, that church bar with the great beer selection, etc.

Most students either don't care and just want extra benefits, or follow the shit in the media.

You mean the Belgian beer cafe Olivier?

Non-western immigrants add up to about 20% of the total in Utrecht, but are mostly together rather than spread over all the neighborhoods.

If your there, check out High & Low on the Croeselaan street the Culture Boat located on the Wittevrouwensingel.

Far majority of non-western immigrants are from Morocco, Turkey and Algeria = muslim. Third-generation labor migrants from Morocco aren't even included in the figure. They don't integrate very well and are bonded to their own culture.
High & Low is one of most relaxed shops in the Netherlands.
