JOIN
THE RAILROAD

You better do it sooner than later because they're going to automate it with robutts pretty soon. If you only work for them for even just 6-10 years you'll still be able to sock away a lot of dosh.
>>
Probably an industrial electrician.
>>
>>70125405
Plumbing. But there are a few rules you need to know if you are going to be a plumber.

>Hot is on the left.
>Cold is on the right.
>Pay day is on Friday
>Shit rolls down hill.
>Don't ever, ever, under any circumstances whatsoever, lick your fingers.
>>
>>70125405
Electrician or plumber im a plumber and i would say electrician because all sorts of people think there plumbers u need ur 17th edition to be an electrician (much less iddiots think there electricians)
>>
>>70125769
Like chocolate and peanut butter

even better when it's a one piece

Electromechanics

It's so in demand that companies will line up to pay for your classes once you are accepted into the program.

You can pick your hours, your workplace, whatever.

It's amazing.
>>
>>70125769
one piece swimsuits are the shit
>>
>>70125934
Funny, my dad taught me the same rules when he was teaching me about plumbing

Except it was
>don't link your fingers after pipe work
>>
Not sure for US but im a plumber/gas engineer in the UK and its the highest paid trade i know of
>>
>>70125405
Electrician.

After a few years you could go to college and become an Electrical Engineer.

That's what my old Dad did with himself and he's very well off now.
>>
>>70125405

Im a union electrician in DC. Pay is around $40 an hour, with full health, dental, vision coverage, 401k, 1 week vacation, and a company truck.

Glazier is pretty cozy
probably not the best paying but who gives a shit

pretty sure the absolutely best paying trade is underwater welding but who would want to do that
>>
>>70125405
secret best but not really a trade: Boiler Technician (if you live farther north)

otherwise HVAC Technician if you live farther south. people will kill one another for running heat/ac
>>
sparky

plumbing is also good but you have to work with literal shit

never make on OP with a picture more interesting than your shitty thread
>>
>>70129441

Does it pay well?

At the very least it sounds like a distinguished job
>>
>>70129671
Depends on your skill level and what you do. If you work in a small shop and do things like trigger jobs and small things like that then you can expect 30 dollars an hour. If you are a real gunsmith that rebarrels actions and rechambering you can earn 80 dollars an hour or more.
>>
>>70126156
You're SHIT poland. YOU.
>>
What is a good trade that doesn't require you to be good at math ?
>>
>>70129019
Underwater welders get payed ludicrous amounts hourly for their work.
High entry costs, and low work opportunities though. Youd be lucky to land a gig a month im told.
If you want work where you never have to worry about not having work prepped, go in to lead reclamation or cleanup. In california alone the state has a backlog going back well over 30 years of lead removal projects because so few people are available to do it. The money for the projects is there too, you pretty much just submit a bid and get it asap because youd be the only one submitting it.Loads of paperwork and safety regs in place though.

Isn't that job kind of risky?

>>70126150
Electromechanics? the only search results I get is STEM stuff.
>>
>>70125405
Dude not even trying and just sticking to it I made it all the way to 19 an hr as an electrician. No school, no college hours, nothing
>>
>>70125405
my room mate does glass blowing, seems pretty legit once you get good, you can make relatively simple stuff and sell it pretty high plus low chance of automation, until robots become sentient
>>
>>70130008
>Poles make money by being plumbers
>Americans make money by being shitskinned
come again?
>>
>>70125405
welders can top out at $100/hr on some jobs when you're up there in the ranks and likable. AC and boiler/hot water heater repair are safe, fulfilling careers too.
>>
>>70130559
I missed the "the" in his post. One piece swimsuits are awesome.

I have no idea what you're going on about though.
>>
>>70130412
If you fuck up, yeah.
Same with welding or any other trade though. If you got the time go to the osha website and look up their reported fatalities.
>>
>>70130538
Before I got into gunsmithing I did that. Unless you make lab equipment the market is very volatile, as soon as other people dont have money due to a downturn you dont have money as you make art pieces exclusively unless you make lab stuff. That being said I did make both lab equipment and things like pipes and stuff, I made twenty dollars a minute for art and 40 or so an hour for chemistry things.
>>
>>70125405
Underwater welding pays very well but that is due to the high mortality rate of the welders
>>
>>70130137
trucking?
>>
Union elevator mechanic
$41/hr
8 payed holidays
Vacation/sick
401k
An extra $70k towards FUCKING HEALTH BENEFITS
Also in new construction ALL overtime is double time

You better love heights and be smart as hell though
Took me 3 years to get into

Not to mention were basically why every other trade union still exists

yea combine boilermaker/electrician becomes industrial power mechanic. $$$
>>
Start acting really crazy and really "lose it" one day and get yourself social security disability. You'll be rollin' in the neetbux, son.
>>
One of the best-paying trades is tool & die work.

I know some of those guys who make $40+/hr and work all the overtime they can handle. It's a high-demand field. Takes about a year to learn at a trade school.
