Can we talk about how the destruction of black culture utterly ruined black music permanently?
Blacks were among some of the best musicians America had to offer. They pioneered a broad variety of musical styles, sang about love, brotherhood, equality (when they genuinely had none), and staying strong in the face of adversity. Blacks were brought up learning various instruments, and really passed through the generations a musical "soul" crafted through many generations of genuine oppression.

Then rap music came along. Gone are the uplifting lyrics, replaced by vapid materialism, sexism, anger towards whites, authority, education, etc. Black kids are no longer picking up a guitar or saxophone. They're making their fire new mixtape and spamming it over Youtube.
The cycle has not been broken, but is now totally dormant. Hateful, hopeless, and degenerate rap has ruled for a couple decades.

It is sad to me. I'm a fan of jazz and the blues. To be fair though, it's not just black music that has declined in quality. Although the change to black music has been more drastic. It may speak more to the state of things in general. If people wanted high quality music, the market would provide it. The only solution I can see is to stop supporting shitty music. Unfortunately, too many people either don't care, or actually like the way music has changed.

Simple most blacks are lazy and prone to theft, sampling is a form of theft. It's easier to steal a hook from famous hit song than write one e.g. any puff daddy song. The funny thing is that "bitches n 40s" gangsta rap primarily appeals to and is bought by white kids from the suburbs.
The entire hip hop scene exists to sell an edgy, pro-wrestingly style hyper-reality to white people, complete with 100% fabricated personas and stage managed "beef". Jazz is far more a performance art than is classical. Most all jazz performance is improvised to some extent; songs are defined by a "head" or melody and chord progression, and artists decide how to voice those chords, string phrases together to execute the progressions, etc., all while staying within the central theme defined by the head. To do this jazz pushed music theory way further than did classical.
There is some really spectacular classical music, but the reason it's so good is that the exact note sequences are so heavily rehearsed and let you do things that nobody could do on the fly.
Classical music also spurred on the invention of tons of instruments as well as the fundamentals of music theory, so in its defense for much of its life it was working with shit like harpsichords and without standard music notation.

IMO, no. Spanish-esque flourishes are a nice technique to use, but these were already incorporated in jazz music. Jazz music, especially guitar, utilise more complex movements in augmented and suspended chord sequences.
Blues for "feels" is spot on, but expressive playing has its place as well.
