Anecdotal, I know, but if the polling is truly randomly distributed, you could very easily poll a larger number of people in the city. While they matter for the popular vote for statewide delegates, the five bouroughs of NYC (3 delegates each *5 = 15 county delegates, plus 14 statewide = 29 delegates of 95), the popular vote & NYC only represent 30.5% of NY's delegates.
It's not a simple prediction from a poll to say how many delegates each will get because of the county system. Political polls are traditionally a random sampling statewide by robodialing. With number portability and cell phones it's hard to equally poll different parts of the state equally, making it more likely the city is over represented versus other counties.

So as a voter in Wisconsin who voted trump yesterday I just have to say that his strategy here was flawed. The areas he lost are the "traditionally conservative" areas of the state.
