My interest in politics began an ended with the Gore/Busg election. When Florida was called for Gore but Bush was assured by Jeb that he would win I dropped out. Trump got me interedted again since im not a libcuck or cuckservative but after he gets btfo I will go back to not giving a shit.
As a kid yeah, having grown up in the Saudi Arabia of feminism on becomes socially conditioned to think and act (self-censorship) in a certain fashion. It was only in my teens that I started to question what was being shoved down my throat and the system around me. It didn't take long after that.

I was a leftie, but never SJW tier. Most of my family is leftist too and as in the rest of Western Europe most schools/universities are leftist indoctrination camp. Add the media with its leftist bias to it and it's not a surprise that young people are more leftist.

The issue is that these young, often intelligent students grow up in a vacuum. They come from middle or upper class families in the suburbs and they have no immediate exposure to how awful people can be. Why wouldn't they think a large-scale tribalist-ish communist could work when their entire experience of 'community' has been small and ethnically uniform, or at least inoffensive.
It's when you get older and begin to realize some truths about human nature and tribalism that you understand why strongly socialist or communist societies can't function in reality. My solution is that they perfectly keep each other in check. Had a Catholic upbringing and a normal family, which is rare nowadays (and will be even rarer). I've became interested in politics and history in my early teen years, and ended up quite far-right. Read a lot about XXth century history and ww2, Franco was my favourite historical person. At my later teenage years I've became a bit involved in the far-right subculture, which is quite a mix here, and due to the many inconsistencies I could never fully embrace it wholly. I've became more moderate and with it more nihilistic in my university years (being a cynical asshole does not help), though always remained right wing, I've became more accepting towards other views and I've became a lapsed Catholic. I should be studying for my finals but I'm in a rather shitty period in my life so I have too much time to read news and political forums and too much time to think. I'm starting to come to a conclusion that today you either become a reactionary or you end up as a nihilist. I'd choose the first.

For me I've always tried to listen to both sides of an argument, growing up in my teens when I first started getting politically aware I guess I just went with the way the wind blew because I was a beta & went with the sheep. Teachers at my high school that were outspoken always seemed to have a leftist view on things & around my senior years I got a tumblr (many regrets) which at first was educating but then at some point I started getting pissed off with all the man hating on that website.
Eventually this attitude began to spill out to real life, when the whole story about Michael Brown came about & I thought well given the circumstances I'm not suprised he got shot. So I started questioning civil rights movements were they really addressing the proper issues?
Then probably the final straw was the Europe migrant crisis with the Paris attacks & seeing how much it was mismanaged.
So now if I see anyone on Facebook posting something on those issues I'll argue against them because I've had enough of the over represented leftist view of things. It's time to bring political discussion back to balance.
Woman here. I used to be really super liberal. Something happened in my early 20s, and while I was never an SJW, I'm so glad I examined my views.
I really can see how a lot of views were indoctrinated in me, and now I'm dismantling a lot of the lies told to me.
I hate this third wave feminism, and because I am so different than women my age, I sometimes feel lonely. However, I'm not going to fake who I am just to have a few friends.
One thing is I work with children and I can see how a lot of the propaganda is harmful to children.
I fear for this upcoming generation.

Was a live and let live sort of guy for most of my life. I could smell bullshit a mile away but thought that it was isolated individual failings of journalists/media/government agencies who failed to do proper research on a subject.
What tipped me over the edge and really ripped the wool from my eyes was the whole gamergate thing (yeah yeah I know). The systemic corruption, censorship and the lengths big organizations would go to protect their narrative in what is essentially a very minor furore within a niche industry really woke me up.
Then the rapefugee crisis happened and the shilling was turned up to 11, it was utterly shameless and terrifying to see.
So here I am, I'm not a NatSoc or gas the kikes guy like many here but I value a free and open exchange of thoughts and ideas no matter how repugnant.

I remained this way until my teenage years when I was manipulated by the Jewish media. I didn't have any real interest in the news but I'd watch the daily show with Jon Stewart because I thought it was funny.
I watched this show every night and I became much much more liberal.
Around 21-22 I started watching the actual news and I was disgusted with how deluded I'd become about the state of the world. I felt manipulated.
A couple years later I've found /pol/ and become a nationalist, with an understanding of racial politics that you can't find in other places.
I believe I've been redpilled. My worldview tends to be very accurate these days and I am good at predicting world events. I've maintained my Christian faith through the study of philosophy rather than ignorance. I will marry a white woman and carry on my race.
